Hi friends, today's tutorial will learn together how to disable Screen Lock function, screensaver and enter the password every time we login in Ubuntu Linux operating system. Screen Lock is activated automatically when the screensaver kicks in. The Lock screen has the function of protecting the operating system where missing from the computer for 5 minutes. This will automatically activate and who will want to use your PC will need to know the login password to use it. By default, Ubuntu Linux operating system set to come after 5 minutes of non-use PC screensaver to enter into operation and with it the function Lock screen. It's pretty annoying this setting comes by default and just makes us put sticks in the wheels if you want to watch a movie or a video longer than 5 minutes, you have to stay with hand on the mouse to move it every 5 minutes to not activate the screensaver and lock your screen. Fortunately not have to worry because this setting can be changed easily as we have shown in this video tutorial. Whether we can turn this setting can be high waiting time to activate this setting. Another annoying thing especially for those taught with Windows is entering a password every time they log onto the ubuntu linux. I for one I used to and I do not mind even enter my password when I login to the operating system. This function is very useful if you use a laptop in case of theft, the thief will not be able to access data and need to know the password to authenticate. But, as I said, for those who are taught that on Windows, the logging to be done automatically, there is the possibility of happiness and deactivate this function as we have shown in this video tutorial. You can disable sound Log-in but unfortunately it seems that version 10.04 has a bug in this respect, because although we chose the tutorial sound log-in to no longer hear, they still heard after restart demonstration. Screensaver set by default to installing Ubuntu is black but you can choose 3D even screensavers that come already included in the operating system.
Remember, if you have suggestions, complaints or additions do not hesitate to write in the comments box, de-also if you met the comments box a user has a problem and you can help him, do not hesitate to do it, the only way we can do this place better, see the comments box!
Enjoy !

Hello Adrian. And I want to ask you something. Do not know if you can play Counter Strick 1.6 on ubuntu? Dak may quit all the windows: P Ms advance!
All dual boot and I strongly recommend you unless you know how to do, I made a tutorial about it. Writing in the search box at the top right of the black border: Installing Ubuntu Linux dual boot with Windows, you enter and you will find the tutorial.
Yes, go and cs 1.6 on ubuntu
Yes go read Here, install wine and then install the cs as on windows…
To tell you frankly nustiu but see myself.
Yes instaleaa Ubuntu Tweak http://ubuntu-tweak.com/ and after lai installed in the Login Settings and change the image of acolo.Bafta
Ooops sorry this review was to @zam77 I was wrong.
With Wubi install is not worth a dualboot bne do than bother with W7 atat.Oricum far as I know x64 verse has many problems and not go on any system.
Julian thanks but expect some answers.
I advise you the same thing. If you install with Wubi and you have a new grub in updates, you get burned, your ubuntu fuck. Wubi deserves to be put just like that, for 1 zo let's say and it's not worth bothering to make it work if it doesn't work for you at first, believe me it really isn't worth it. It is better to insert a CD and play it Live than with Wubi. I do not recommend 64-bit Ubuntu to anyone as I do not recommend 64-bit Windows to anyone, these systems are not "tanned" it is an architecture at the beginning of the road, where some things do not work or go halfway.
my question is how can I block sites on my computer
Nice explained but have ideas how to change the logon screen image?
I'll make a tutorial about that soon
change in 2 hours scrensaverul and osa go this is the first coment hope that you will not be upset THANK are more TARIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

I have a question… Can I install Ubuntu (give up Windows) without losing data from the HDD (it's 1 Tb and I have some data)? I now have partition C where the 150 Gb Windows is.
poti.instalezi ubuntu windows give the place ului.adica format only 150 GB partition. of these 150 GB ext4 make a partition and mount the / (root) and the remaining partitions 140 /home.restul let them do as they are. you can access them from ubuntu. look at this tutorial https://www.videotutorial.ro/?p=2452 and this https://www.videotutorial.ro/?p=3315 as saintelegi how to do partitionarea.Succes !!!!!
but should not swat?
how do I backup only the root partition in Ubuntu 10.4?
I can with the help of Wubi (not really recommend this option) or in the real dual boot. You can also have Linux and Windows and can remain only with Linux without losing than C's, other partitions us the need to format or delete that Linux knows how to write / read / see and formats NTFS partition or FAT32 what Windows do not know how to format the partitions used by Linux. Write up in the search box right on the black edge: install ubuntu linux in dual boot with Windows, you enter and you will find the tutorial or write: Wubi, you enter and you will find the tutorial. I have ubuntu 10.04 2 and NTFS partitions. Ubuntu I put it where it was WinXP (in C)
thanks to both for answering… in Ubuntu can you back up your system? I can install a virtual machine as a virtualbox to install Windows, because I have some programs that I use for college, I also have a Canon printer and I would like to install it on virtual if Ubuntu doesn't work.
Leave the talk and look at the tutorials I told you about, there it was said whether to swap or not (swat are American bands, swap is something else) how to partition and everything you need to know. You can install VirtualBox on Ubuntu and install Windows on it. Watch the tutorials on "three methods of installing software on ubuntu linux" you can find it with the search box on the right. I recommend you to watch "introduction in the terminal part 1", "introduction in the terminal part 2", "introduction in the terminal part 3" Or write above: introduction in the terminal, enter and all 3 episodes will be displayed.
Beautiful!!!!!!
How watch the video ..
