How to stay safe when browsing with the Mozilla Firefox browser - video tutorial

Hi friends, in today's tutorial we will talk about Mozilla Firefox browser. Specifically we'll see how we can stay safe using this browser, checking every time if all its plugins are up to date.
There are differences between an add-on and plugin. Add-ons allows you to extend browser functionality, provide access to additional features or functions that do not normally have access. Plugins allow us to enjoy the content of certain websites that offer applications or media content that uses specific protocols or standards. For example, Microsoft sites that have video content using Microsoft Silverlight plugin for playing them as most sites use to play audio and video plugin Flash Player. Also, many web services or applications are built in java and for that we need the Java Runtime Environment plugin and these are just a few examples of the most popular plugins for browsers used today.
Some plugins have the ability to check one after the new updates or new versions as they do with renowned Flash Player. However many plugins have this ability and just because of that Mozilla has set a page once accessed, will tell us if we have the latest versions of plugins for updates and if they are critical or if the plugin is outdated.
In general updates for plugins are extremely important when they are for Flash Player or Java. These two are the most commonly used and exploited by malicious people to facilitate the access in unauthorized places. It is vital to keep up to date these two plugins to stay safe and avoid security breaches in which a malicious person can attack us, spy, or gain access to our information. Along with updates can come new features or fixes to existing security breaches
It is important to have installed all required plugins to enjoy the entire web content when browsing but it is equally important to assign the proper attention that they are updated on daily for you to stay safe.
That said, I invite you to watch the video tutorial to see exactly how check if all Mozilla Firefox browser plugins are up to date for better protection

  11. 1. Doing a check "plugincheck" I noticed that I have one Java plugin, namely Java Deployment Toolkit 8.x (being updated). Vericand screaming plugin installed (with Tools, Add-Module) Note that plugin Java (TM) Platform SE 8 is disabled. What differentiates the two? Musa should be enabled and Java (TM)?
    2. Searching on "java.com" answer, give the following information, which if I understand well, I find it useful in the context of the tutorial:
"We highly recommend users uninstall all older versions of Java from your system.
Keeping old and Unsupported versions of Java on your system presents a serious security risk.
Uninstalling older versions of Java from your system ensures that Java applications will run with the most up-to-date security and performance improvements on your system. ” Proceeding that this "uninstall" is still necessary in the tutorial?
    PS
    Congratulations "teachers" for hard work!
