@makavely: there is nothing you can do to increase the subtitle… you can instead convert the movie from avi format to dvd format. You set the font size in the program and after the conversion you have a DVD that will work on all players with a subtitle that will look very good.
In general most stand-alone players who know Xvid / Divx subtitles displays very small ..

Increase the font and font color to display subtitle in VLC is quite simple to set up, I think you have made a video tutorial for this.
Right click on the VLC / option / preferences / subtitles / here you have three tabs, enter the subtitle properties, here you can change what you want, font size, font color / how to place the edges etc.

Nice tutorial, especially for beginners 🙂 in the "art of pirxxxx". The "technique" in the tutorial is the technique I use. I would like to mention that there are still foreign trackers that require authentication in case you want to get a torrent. Example: demonoid.com which is Canadian and seems to me one of the biggest and coolest trackers, along with of course piratebay.org, isohunt.com, mininova.org which is no more, the latter not needing authentication . A message for those who are new to torrents: seed till you bleed!: D I also want to add that I have all the respect for the owners of Romanian trackers, indeed some focus too much on the financial side and forget what the protocol means p2p, but that's it, there are all kinds of people with all kinds of possibilities and all kinds of resources and all kinds of interests.
