This tutorial is the second in a series of video tutorials for using free graphics editing program GIMP.In this tutorial you will learn how the masking layer is achieved, which is essential in a graphics editing program.
The mask is an image in shades of black and white attached to a layer.
Areas that have black on the mask will become transparent and the white areas on the mask will be visible. In the next tutorial I will show how the selection of certain elements of the image you want to edit.
To better understand this tutorial you need to watch the first part in which I presented and explained in detail what are the layers (strata) and how to work with them.
Each part of the series of video tutorials dedicated GIMP program is important because in the future we will work more complex and will be indispensable basics.

If you fail using the above indication, uninstall the program from "Add or remove programs", delete the ".gimp-2.6" folder from C: \ Documents and Settings \ user \ and reinstall the program.
