Gshutdown, how to schedule a restart or shutdown on Ubuntu Linux - video tutorial

If yesterday my colleague Mihai made a very interesting tutorial on how we can schedule a restart or a shutdown for Windows, I thought that we new Ubuntu users could become a little "jealous" that they (windows) can do that too not. So I put my stomach to work and didn't give up until I found such software for us to do something like that.

It is GShutdown software very small and also with sufficient tools to accomplish what we propose today, actually, not only this makes this software as our name suggests, we can program the PC to shut down, apart from that we can program the computer to restart or to log out. We can set and a balloon tooltip if we (balloon / Noris notification) we can set a text message to defend ourselves with a few seconds / minutes / hours before the PC to shut down.

Inventive people can, for example, use this function as sticky notes. For example… you are at the PC, you are going to leave but immediately after your departure, your wife is coming from work or your child from school and you probably want to tell them something… I don't know, for example: “don't forget to take Maria's garbage !! ". You can schedule what time that popup will appear and what message it will contain.

That said I will leave you to watch this video tutorial and do not forget, Ubuntu GNU / Linux more than free, is open source !!!

Remember, if you have suggestions, complaints or additions do not hesitate to write in the comments box, de-also if you met the comments box a user has a problem and you can help him, do not hesitate to do it, the only way we can do this place better, see the comments box!
Enjoy !
