Kiwi linux live cd and install virtual tutorial video

Linux is free while Windows costs money, you choose whether you would need an operating system and will be forced to give up piracy.

Besides Linux is a very good system that eats fewer resources and could fit minus-r for a less efficient system.

You have to be a little more "open mind" to embrace a linux, but it is not difficult to walk with it, in some places it seems more friendly than windows vista or xp.

I also heard frightening things about linux: it's a so for professionals, you have to work with it only on the command line and others, it's not true at all, of course there are more pro linux for example server distributions or the oldest, but in general linux has become very "user friendly".

In the next tutorial we will be convinced that switching to Linux is not so bad, even some distributions of Linux are with some incredible desktops that can eclipse every Windows Vista or Mac OS.

In this video tutorial you will see how you can run a linux live cd kiwi in the way and then the same can install linux kiwi

Yes, what can I say, the interface is really cool, I like it more because at xp I didn't have the patience to put the tutorial on the site and I put my nose in it, I ran it from the live cd and what can I say super, really more beautiful effects as for xp but we have to admit that k is still limited, pdgin does not allow you to give a web to someone… and as we have seen use only free programs these free programs leave ft much desirable for k are free and are unprofitable so to speak… and where else do you put k not many make programs for linux !, At least in Windows we have hacks and we can use software that you say k costs 1000euro and that's free, due to piracy and I assure you k piracy will not die never! just as the Mafia will never be able to be eradicated 🙂 Linux still has a “papacy” to evolve until it reaches the popularity of Windows and the capabilities of Windows. you understand what I meant by that… Nobody mentions today! everything is for money, even water

  2. For the most part you're right but for many of us is a challenge using linux, linux you must discovered to research on the windows when things are on the tray.
Linux professionals is improved, and therefore sometimes it seems kind of lost touch with the real world, but I trust Linux.
Know that in the branch environment it is used in proportion internet linux 80-90%.
Remains to be worked on linux desktop sites, but I trust in the future of this operating system.

  3. and no matter how open minded I would be or there would be another, believe me, it's hard to get rid of windows… even if someone tries linux I assure you it won't give up windows for good, it will either work with both systems at windows, it seemed strange to me, and it was hard for me to learn with him because it's in Romanian and really intuitive, for me it's like someone is telling me now to replace my mother and I found another one. hello… I don't know everyone I grew up with windows… I heard others like k would be part of them I know it's weird to hear something like that but… that's it… in windows and almost everything hack stuff, tricks, tips… what does that program what does the other do, while linuxu… must be explored and how we are in the era of speed and time that seems to end… no one would have the patience to research an operating system from the beginning, to learn with it… would say… yes why should i do it I spent a lifetime on windows and now I switch to linux about which I know nothing… no thought.

Linux is the future. I've been using linux for 2 years and I really don't want to hear about windowsiar, its popularity is a little longer until windows arrives. Windows will never reach the stability and performance of Linux. And not only pidgin is its many programs. And soon they will also have pidgin all the facilities, web cam and microphone. So if you want a stable and secure linux system is what you are looking for. 😀

    I installed a Kiwi, it works, I like it… I explore
My question is how do I install an AutoCad, I tried AutoCad2000 and it doesn't work, namely: what the cd contains, when I act on the set-up it gives me a window in which it tells me that “An error occurred while loading the archive”.
In short, it doesn't work, or I don't know how to make it work, does something else need to be installed in the Kiwi? ..and if so, what and in what way?….
I would speed up to Linux but if I can't use Autocad and Arhicad (with cracks altogether), I'm afraid I'll only keep it for… net

If we make a tutorial with Linux would be better to explain in more detail
the partitioning hardware that is more complicated and the installation programs for there are many and probably more inutile.Multumiri for everything you do.

  17. Adrian said

@radu32: In principle it is not complicated, when you partition in linux you have to choose 2G as swap and the rest of the partition you do ext3 or ext 4, as for the programs you can install if you select them with left click it will give you a short description for what is each one doing… some of them are not really programs but rather add-ons for the programs you already have (adon means an extra function for a certain program) there are hundreds of programs in that list, let's specify at each software for what it would take us 2 days… and it is impossible, we put in front of you, we present a "product" the rest is up to you to research it !!! to discover it to play! At school when you were first included, it only shows you how to make letters, not how to write words you learned the alphabet and you had to compose sentences to form words with the letters you learned !! Be self-taught, this is the only way you will understand yourself better! If someone shows you everything on the tray you will learn mechanically, and you will not fully understand the principle of operation of that something that is shown to you !!

  29. Hello Cristian,
    Hi Adrian,
Please make a videotutorial how to make a bootable Linux CD physically. At least for the duration 10 minutes. Videotutorial or other content about Linux. I want to change the operating system. Linux Live CD was made for and system / hdd Sun online.
I made 3 bootable CDs with Linux (Kiwi, Mandriva, Ubuntu) but they are not seen as bootable. When the system loads at the time of "CD / DVD boot system" it goes on and loads the Windows system from the computer.
But, if I put a bootable CD with Windows, the computer "sees" it and asks me to press a key to start running a new system on that CD.
The 3 Linux CDs are loaded on those sites have iso image, and are available on CD with Nero, as did Cristian.
    What should I do?
    Thank you.

    • There is nothing special, with the same cd presented in the tutorial you can install or run in the live module, there is no cd for installation and one for live running! On the same CD you have both options, running live or installing, I don't understand why it doesn't boot from them… Maybe you still didn't burn the CD properly. We have a tutorial dedicated exclusively to burning a bootable CD, write up Search on the right "How to make a bootable cd from an iso image with nero" give enter and you will find the tutorial… you probably have winrar and it is associated with iso images, and when you download them winrar sees them as an archive, but they are iso and do not need to be extracted !!! Probably you extracted content and burned… it exceeds me… burns at low speed… I really don't know what to say…

However, it also needs Windows programs in certain situations. And with VirtualBox it is interesting, but sometimes give errors, and does not load some programs and games, likely influenced by the Linux operating system.
But from you, and your colleagues have learned so much about computer.

Very beautiful initiative. I have one comment: the thing about installing Linux and Windows on different hard drives removed from the computer's great big mess. You must not do so. Grub loader on Linux is extremely strong and take any of the Windows loader. Moreover, you can use any free space on the hard (no need of hard) system partition is automatically made. I say this after I installed a lot of it and I have now a system multiboot windows 7, vista, xp and ubuntu.
How can we convince people to switch to Linux if we advise to use only live cd?

Have you ever tried to return to single dintrun boot dual boot with Windows and Linux?
Apparently not if you speak so easily, it's best to keep Linux and Windows on the hard drives different course if we can, dacavrei SDA rid of the grub will not be too easy when you have a dual boot windows-linux .
You'll never get back to the Windows boot manager without adventures that you could make you lose everything you hard.
As you probably know Linux uses different file format, Windows is impossible to digest this.
In multiboot Linux-Windows configurations can only go forward, you can not return back without serious problems.
I do not want to refer to your level of knowledge that do not know him, but do not believe you tried to quit if multibooting easy to throw words.

VirtualBox is the same for Linux, it has the same functions as the one for windows and it looks identical, the installation procedure of windows is the same as if you were in windows. We have made a series of tutorials about virtualbox, you can find them with the box from top right "search on Videotutorial.ro…" write there virtual box give enter and you will find them, we even have a tutorial on installing windows xp sp3 (made with virtual box, but from windows) What is different on linux installing virtualbox both otherwise working with it or installing an operating system in it is the same as on windows! To install Virtualbox click on accessories (cesorii) then Add / Remouve… and type in the box on the top right window install virtualbox and that's it, or you can install it with synaptic packege manager, also type in search or search if in Romanian virtualbox tick the box in front of it and install.

Na, if everything I put in mind let's finish as cuvine.Deci to repeat the lesson for Plesan:
    - Kiwi linux is inspired, so to speak, by ubuntu linux.
    - Ubuntu linux is the possibility to make pppoe connections, ie connections for RDS. No, now how do you think about it [student] Plesan?
    So I had to think:
"May, wait a minute, I see that I can't make an rds connection on kiwi linux. Well, if I can't find what I like then I'll try to see how to connect on ubuntu. Aha, so on ubuntu, kiwi linux is shoot from ubuntu… ”. I searched the net for you an example of that very empirical: how to make a connection for RDS on kiwi linux. Empirical method = the method by which to understand the chicken in the cage what you want to explain. found, but I found a more expressive onehttp://www.linuxsoft.ro/wiki/administrare/pppoe_client"aici.Bun, I'm done with the naughtiness, but God forgive me: how can it take you 3 months to see that you have a defective mouse, so at "maria"?

I only use KIWI Linux - it works better than the original - as oiled - it connects very easily to any internet with the password using the PPPOE connection - other ISPs than the one mentioned, and the password on the screen saver - as protection of the desktop, of your work and access to everything you do on the desktop, can be removed for the first time even during installation - it asks you - or later - anytime, looking at the screen saver settings and unchecking… Very simple!

If you look carefully you saw that tutorial is not about the actual installation as it should be to install a system, but it's kind of virtualization, emulation or whatever you want to call it. I did not correct you on me because you have nothing and do not think you are able to do this! When wrong my mistake and I take cerscuze but now really is not the case! Be more careful in future and not put yourself in discussions that do not concern you! He stood Wubi version if Linux supports all versions of Wubi, and it's not just 3 ditributii (they do not count on fingers) allow you to do the trick with Wubi. So it's not a general case and therefore does not apply tuturoro distributions, so your intervention and not pointless.

I do not claim to know exactly what is going to install with Wubi, but I know that the developers claim that their program installs Ubuntu on Windows like any other program and all the same and can delete it ..
Specifically, the installation creates a file ~ 8gb to be partition for linux, appears Wubi installed programs in control panel, so it can also be uninstalled, and install GRUB bootloader.
At boot, you can choose which system to boot, after which there is a decompression of the file / partition with linux and you enter the linux environment..so this thing automatically suggests that it moves a bit slower than a normal installed system, and it does not behaves like a windows program, meaning you can't start it from windows with 2click on the desktop icon… which doesn't even exist.
Anyway, the idea is easy to install / uninstall, because many people are scared of the prospect of installing linux and the probability of losing all the data on the hdd… but the fact that it is a kind of virtual machine set exactly what is needed, is a minus , because the system does not move like a normal installation.

You can have the same hardware and XP and Ubuntu, you need to download and run Wubi (so called application).
And if you want to have XP instead of Linux, at. installing new OS will format your partition (usually drive C).
And if you install the same OS on the same hard second one XP and one Linux, at. I think it will be a disaster in your comp.

And I gave up linux because I always ask for password even Siin stand by and connects to the net hard f rds from the rest is super xp.

When you install Linux, namely Ubuntu, propriuzis before starting the installation asks you if you want to automatically or with user login and parola.Nu only need to tick the option that you already installed the system convine.Daca you need to disable logging of systemsettings.Nu go into details because I use Kubuntu / KDE4, and probably differs from kiwi authentication system, but most should be to find an option which allows login without asking password.

  61. he's right Aea… that's what I want to know… that I delete the C drive and put linux… but I understood that it changes the format to the C drive… and I thought it can change everything and then it can delete everything… .if I understood correctly… I'm a beginner still in the documentation period…
illogical excuse me if I ask questions but I want to know what awaits me.
    thank you

I'll tell you what happens to distributions * Buntu probably no big difference to others.
Linux sees the first physical hard disk as the "hda" device, the second hard disk if there is "hdb", and the "hda0,2" partitions means the second partition on the first hard disk. Now we have seen that "sda" is written instead of " However, during installation, when the partitioning program starts, you choose to manually partition the disk and all the partitions it finds will be presented to you and will be noted as I said with “hda, *”. In principle, the process is intuitive, yes click on the partition - modify and choose if the partition will be used or not and how it will be used. Example: you have the first partition with XP formatted FAT32, the second NTFS partition, and on the third you will put linux (free space) In this case at the first partition you choose to be used as a FAT32 partition, if you want it to be accessible from linux you choose a mount point (otherwise you can't access it), for example “/ c”, ntfs partition, you choose to use it as ntfs, logically, and as a mounting point "/ d" and big, be very careful not to check these two, the box with the formatting .. then you lose everything… Further free space will be used as ext3 or ext4, it will have a mount point “/”, meaning it will be the root of the system, you will have to check the formatting, and that would be all. You will be warned that you do not have created swap partition, but if you have 1gb ram there is no need. It would also be good to create a separate partition for. "/ Home", in case you do a system restore, it's enough for a start anyway.
During installation, if the “GRUB” system loader finds that there are other operating systems on the HDD, it will install the grub in the MBR, and will create a menu with the available options from which you can choose at boot, respectively linux / windows. appear in the menu options can be changed by editing as root the file /boot/grub/menu.lst or from programs with graphical interface.
    * Buntu recently switched to GRUB2 here things are not yet so well developed in terms of configuration.

  63. What is an installation can be measured by more specific.

  64. Aea:
What is an installation can be measured by more specific.

The mount point is a file that mounts the entire hard drive. Clearly, any physical device, hdd, cdrom, usb to be accessible must be mounted. This mount is a procedure for accessing the contents of that device and is of 2 kinds, only read or read / write. And in order to be mounted, there must be a place available for. this, such as a file. Some devices (cd-rom, usb) are mounted automatically, others must be mounted manually. In the linux file structure the root is symbolized "/". So I can mount a partition in "/ c". You specify at installation, and the mount point is created automatically. If you did not specify, after installation you can create the mount point as root, (as a user you cannot write to the root) and you can mount and unmount partitions with dedicated programs such as mount manager. In principle anything is possible, you just have to have patience and perseverance to look for…
As an annoying "curiosity" of this thing .. I can tell you that until soon you could not remove the cd from the drive until you disassemble it .. only relatively recently was introduced a script that automatically disassembles and ejects cd when you press that button. Many people did not understand the logic of this.

The software that makes nLite do not know if there is, I just know some sites outside that gives you possibillity to customize any linux distribution but requires invitation and not open to ordinary users. As 7 windows interface for Linux, there are Linux may look 100 times better than Windows 7 as the effects are hundred times more beautiful and not drinking as consuming ores such as Windows. Search on google linux linux themes themes or entering customize.org where you can choose from hundreds of themes.

    • sweety: If your pc I no longer read CDs tr to inst and Windows?

It depends… if it's Windows's fault, you'll have to reinstall it… if it's not Windows's fault I'm afraid you'll have to buy another CD-ROM (optical drive)

To see the default NTFS partitions, the installation must declare them as what type of partition will be used, and the point of installation montare.Trebuie choose manual partitioning to access these distributions optiuni.Unele scans and mounts all partitions Find them, others leave the user's choice if he wants to use them or not.

Do you a small bug, not a little vulnerable without significant attacks without niscaiva infection without ... etc. It would be a vain life.

confuse things, an operating system is an operating system. Not all operating systems are called Windows? multiple operating systems: Windows, Linux, Mac OS X. Kiwi Linux is an operating system, not a Windows! Windows is just a name of an operating system and that. If you want to install Ubuntu Linux either Kiwi or, write up in the search box on the top right black border: install ubuntu linux in dual boot with Windows XP, you enter and you will find the tutorial you are looking for or if you think it is too hard and not doing all you can handle with the right search box tutorial: How to install Ubuntu Linux with Wubi without giving up Windows, you enter and you will find video tutorial. Read the text above each tutorial, you'll find many answers and useful information.

I tried to discketa but I think I chose well sata drivers. I found on the motherboard: asus. Now I want to install linux. How to do that? as in windows? thank you very much.

    • Hello everyone! I recommend KIWI Linux 9.04 and 10.08, made after Ubuntu - it works like oil, I hope it fits you too. LINUX - not all distributions, but most can also work on Live CD - meaning they will run as long as the PC is powered on, which Winows can't - Linux advantage, this means we can convince ourselves of it in Demo mode - Live CD , from where we can later install it. We have to check the BIOS - first boot from the CD and then we will choose "Try without changing the PC" we have patience for a few minutes and Linux will run from the CD in tandem with the RAM that will be installed as live LINUX. If everything will be OK - hardware recognition - you can then install it directly in Windows, in its partition - inside Windows - and you will have 2 operating systems, which you choose to boot. Do as you wish. I wish you SUCCESS and BAFTA!

  86. As if I already have ubuntu installed Windows computer.

    • alex:
As if I already have ubuntu installed Windows computer.

      Hello dear ALEX!

I'm glad for interest and question. Windows OS is "smart and clever" - it can NOT be installed if it "smells" like on that PC - HDD is different from it - it does NOT support competition, but it wants to be the first and for. installation will DELETE that OS - unlike Windows, otherwise it does not accept Mr. Bill Gates - wants to be the first, thing on the principle of world domination. The opposite goes, ie the first installation of Windows - the second Linux or other OS. You could also install Linux on a separate HDD - the 2nd - even recommended if the physical space allows again for safety during installation, unplug the HDD with Windows, then start with both. You can consult with other colleagues and composer friends about them. It's worth it! good - Marian.
