Show characters in the password in Firefox

Hello friends, in today's tutorial we will see how we can see the characters in the "password" field when we log on to different sites or web services using the Mozilla Firefox browser.
I've done in the past a tutorial called Security in the browser, we can see the characters passwords under the stars it will look the same but the method was somewhat more complicated, and even some users have commented that tutorial that method does not work for them.
Well, this time it's an extension for Firefox called Show / hide passwords that once installed, will place a "Show" button below the field where we enter the password when we log in to various web services. Its usefulness is to help us when we know we are in a hurry and not too sure of ourselves to type the password in the login field. As you probably know, basic (by default) desktop browsers do not display the characters written in the password field, whatever I type in the password field we will only see some stars or dots. This happens to protect us from those around us when we type it.
The Show / hide passwords extension will show us a “Show” button under all the password fields and if we are not too sure that we typed the password correctly, with a simple click on the “Show” button we can see what we typed in the password field and so on. we make sure that it has been typed correctly and so we can go ahead with logging on to that site or service.
Once we click on the "Show" button it will turn into "Hide" and after watching the password, we can click on the "Hide" button to hide the password again.
Show / hide passwords is a very useful extension paersoanelor with disabilities or those of a great age are not very confident when using a computer keyboard. Even healthy people make mistakes cannon happens when keys hurry and enter quickly!
Another usefulness of the Show / hide passwords extension is when we forget the password for certain accounts. As you probably know, when we first log in to a site, the browser asks us if we want it to remember our username and password so that they are entered automatically the next time we return to that site and we want to not logam. Well, it may happen that at some point we forget the password, but in the past we probably checked that the browser will automatically fill them in for us when logging in. If this has happened, when we visit the login page for that site or service, we can click the "Show" button to see what password we used to access that site.
Most likely initiated know to walk in the advanced settings of the browser Firefox password manager to reach and view passwords in that section without to need extension Show / Hide passwords.
Towards the end you say that Windows Internet Explorer browser and Windows 8 8.1 have the option to display the characters in the password field implemented in the browser (built in show password)
If you install and use extension Show / Hide passwords can be found on the official website: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/showhide-passwords/

Are you sure you are using the computer with a user who has full rights to the system? Are you sure you are not using your browser in private browsing mode? In private browsing mode, the browser no longer offers to save passwords! Maybe it is set to start automatically in private browsing mode and not necessarily by you but by those who still use your computer.
Can you check in the browser options Security tab if you tick remember password for sites then right click Exceptions same options and see whether Yahoo is added to that list, if you find on there means that the browser will offer to keep your mind passwords for all sites but not for yahoo so you will have to remove yahoo from the list of exceptions.

As for the Firefox plugin, there is a much simpler solution, right click on the password field -> inspect element -> and change the type attribute of the input tag from "password" to "text".
