Tutorial browser extensions instant price comparator 500 stores
In this video tutorial titled Instant Price Comparator 500 Stores, I present to you two browser extensions with which you can see the price difference between stores for almost any product.
Extensions for comparing prices in stores
Each of us wants to buy a product at the lowest possible price.
When we purchase a product and after a day or two we see it elsewhere at a better price, we have a strange feeling, as if we were tricked.
It's best to know before buying, in case it's cheaper at another store.
This is where extensions come in, allowing us to compare prices on the spot.
Xprice and Price History
We have two extensions that we can install in the browser, either on the desktop in Chrome or Firefox, or on Android in Firefox.
This extension shows us the prices of the same product from other stores
Both do pretty much the same thing with slight differences
The number of stores for which the comparison is made is 400 or so for Xprice and 500 or so for Price History.
Price history
The price history widget is well organized, and has product reviews, but I noticed that the low prices are often for products that are out of stock.
Another downside to the Price History extension is that it is not very well optimized for mobile, meaning that it closes a bit hard if you open the price list and it throws you down to the product page.
Xprice
It looks good, it's well optimized for mobile, but it has no reviews and sometimes similar products are too prominent, giving the impression that we're dealing with the same product at a ridiculously low price.
What do price comparison extensions live on?
A large part of the extensions' earnings comes from affiliate links.
That is, when you buy something, a small amount of the product price goes to the extension, but without modifying the product price in any way.
This is a good thing and not too much
This is a good thing because extensions can be financed without placing ads or charging a subscription.
This is not a good thing because some stores that do not have affiliate systems may be missing from the list, because they do not bring in a profit.
We rely on the honesty of developers to make lists in a fairplay way, without primarily considering the winning side.
Extension installation recommendation
I used the Firefox browser and Windows and on Android.
From the browser settings, go to extensions and install both or just one that you like.

Hello. I'm curious if it also says the real Black Friday prices... This is for the merchants who fictitiously inflate the price in advance... Then it's the moment of truth for this extension...
Great, thank you, these extensions are very useful.
