Hello friends, in today's tutorial we will learn how to create a bootable USB stick with persistent cache that will contain the Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal operating system. You're probably wondering what "persistent", persistent cache or persistence cache means. Well a bootable stick with persistent cache will do so so that if we run Ubuntu in Live mode and install different applications or download files, it will save the installed applications or downloaded files. Thus, if we remove the stick and then reinsert it into the computer and boot from it in Live mode, due to persistent memory it will remember the installed applications, settings made or files created or saved on the Desktop. Basically we will have a portable operating system on a USB stick with all our favorite applications, with all the settings and documents we are working on. The stick can be run on any computer, netbook, notebook. The advantage is that it does not require installation on the hard disk but will run directly from the USB stick, will not affect the computer hard disk or the operating system already existing on it.
