Windows 11 Cleanup and Space Freeup – Get Rid of Unnecessary Files

In this video tutorial (Cleaning and freeing up space on Windows 11) I will show you the ways we can clean up and free up space on Windows 11.

Why do we need to clean our PC?

Over time, any computer, whether it's a PC, laptop, or phone, accumulates a lot of files that are no longer useful.

Here we are talking about files that the operating system creates or those that have been deleted and are no longer needed.

If we don't remove cached, temporary, or deleted files from the trash, storage will be unnecessarily loaded and the computer will work harder.

Native Windows tools for cleaning

In Windows 11 we have two native cleaning tools, more or less similar

For many years, Windows has had Disk Cleanup, and on Windows 11 we find another tool

1. Disk Cleanup, even if it is no longer in its place in Windows 11, we can find it with the search engine and launch it.

2. A second cleaning tool can be found in Settings / System / Storage / Temporary Files, and it's a bit like Disk Cleanup, except here you can also select the downloads folder, which I advise you not to select.

Whatever cleaning tool you use, use it!

Temporary files, caches, update files, etc., accumulate on your computer and unnecessarily burden its storage. This leads to slower PC startup, lag in use, and an overall more unpleasant experience.

Whatever cleaning solution you choose, use it consistently, because temporary files, cache, and deleted files are useless once they've been generated and used. It's like going for a drive and having 300 kg in the trunk.
