These plates have 2 USB3 controllers, one from Renesas and Intel (the chipset). Install updated drivers for the chipset and drivers for Renesas.
Try more ports.
Temporarily disconnect anything from USB.
You understand that when you connect two devices USB3, and one of them is USB2, the controller will operate in legacy mode usb2 to operate both devices unfortunately usb3 devices will not benefit than usb2 gear.
Install all drivers up to date on the Asus support site.
Disconnect everything except USB mouse, tastarura.
