What is the Syncthing tutorial about, the local alternative to cloud storage?

I'm going to introduce you to Syncthing, a local alternative to storing and backing up photos or files online.
It is a method by which we can automatically back up photos, which will automatically go to your PC.
What is Syncthing?
Syncthing is a cross-platform application that allows automatic file synchronization between devices over the internet.
Whether you're on the local network or mobile data, when you take a picture, it will automatically go home to your PC.
Syncthing can easily replace cloud storage services like iCloud or Google Photos. I would even say it's much more secure and it's free.
Local storage versus cloud storage
Local storage is on your home PC and is the best, cheapest, and most secure method of storing data.
Cloud storage is somewhere on servers that are not under your control, and access to these files is based on an account, which for one reason or another, can be deactivated.
Apart from the above disadvantage, for decent capacity cloud storage, you have to pay a monthly subscription.
How does Syncthing work?
Syncthing is an application that works a bit like the Bittorrent client. That is, the transfer is done peer to peer and is mediated by network nodes.
Your files go from your phone directly to your PC, without being stored on other servers.
That is why it is necessary for both devices, the phone and the PC, to be turned on in order for file synchronization to take place.
Please watch the tutorial carefully because all the steps there are important.
