How to disable the automatic installation of drivers in Windows Vista and 7 - video tutorial

Hi friends, in today's tutorial you'll learn together how we can disable automatic driver installation in Windows Vista or Windows 7. Why would we want this? To better understand you elaborate a little situation that I hit it. Having a Bluetooth USB stick and having drivers for Windows 7, I want to install drivers for Windows Vista from the CD that came with the stick Bletooth. Said and done. I go in, install the drivers from the installation CD, make system restart so I asked for and what to see? After I returned from restart, Windows esteemed 7 put his tail, gave me warning as he found a new device and started to automatically search, drivers for my Bluetooth stick and then installed them automatically without any confirmation ask me. So my Windows Vista driver installation showed unnecessary. So was born the idea of creating this tutorial. We know that Windows Vista and Windows 7 have the ability to automatically search and install drivers for new devices that we introduce in our PC, but this has edged 2 if I may say so.
When is it better to leave him to seek out automatically after the drivers and install them?
When we have a device that do not have drivers or drivers CD that came with that device. If even after a search on Google or the device manufacturer's website or can not find the driver, the last hope we can call on Windows Vista and Windows capacities 7 to drivers looking for us. Honestly is not the best decision because it not only installed the driver and so, not software that will help us manage-Riem or do advanced settings device.
An example would be: If you have an ATI video card or sound card Realtek, and allow your Windows Vista 7 or to install drivers found via Windows Update, it will not install and CCC (Catalyst Control Center) and Realtek HD Audio Manager, Software that helps you make managerial devices and more particularly to the device settings.
When it is best to let Windows automatically look after our drivers and install them?
When the official manufacturer drivers hold the device, when we have an original CD that came with the device. Drivers taken directly from the manufacturer or the existing ones on the CD that came with the device / component are definitely much better than those found through Windows Update. These driver besides coming with a control panel or type manager software will allow as I said above, more extensive settings on the component / device.
That being said I invite you to follow along this video tutorial, where we will learn together steps to prevent Windows Vista 7 or to engage in automatic installation of drivers.

And what did I say / write in the text above the tutorial that you did not read? :) Not the same thing? :)

  • I have never had problems with automatically installed drivers for 3 years since I have a PC and use Vista / 7. I like it more than installing myself, because if I put the driver on the sound card, it installs a nonsense for the system tray that gets into the start-up and loads the PC much harder, the video card as well, the printer installs programs for pictures etc ... the ones installed automatically worked very well for me (even for the printer, the webcam and the phone - used as storage and as a 3G modem).

  • yes but in windows xp how to make windows xp automatically search for drivers or it is not possible ... if there is no program or something like that to do that ???

  • Hi Adrian !!. Please if you can make a video tutorial about the automatic installation of drivers in windows xp after formatting. In general I use, Genius, Checher, Magician were Uniblue DriverScanner. Thank you very much and good luck ..

  • It has also been discussed about the software for installing or updating drivers such as genius driver, diver magician, etc .... these software must be used in the last resort because they will often offer you some so-called universal drivers, once no settings managers. It has been said countless times that the best way to buy drivers is the manual one, on the website of the manufacturer of the product we are looking for a driver for ... this, without a doubt, will never disappoint you!

    • ylye: It was discussed on account of software to install or update drivers Driver Genius gender, different magician, etc .... Very well pointed Ylye, thank you for filling! What you say is very true and I've said this many times ba ba chatting on comments. It is recommended to use such software only in extreme cases even when you have nothing to do or do not find anything.

  • Videotutorial Hello I would like to add something to the said Adrian: It happened to me quite right to me, but installing drivers by automatic update is not a bad thing, for example, we install drivers that we give him enter the Device Manager then click on driver to install and give the driver update, there appears one 2 possibilities to seek the best driver after net and then look for the PC, choose the option to 2 stuffing that driver CD and then give search the CD and then he We will install the driver from the CD without any problema.Eu had happened so the driver from the video card, so I solved the problem anyway congratulations you make tutorials! BAFTA

    • Sebi: But if you have installed the update drivers win 7 .. how to remove and stick them on cd?

Do not uninstall! Simply dezavtivezi as shown in the installation tutorial Windows automatically found drivers through Windows Update (preferred is to stop, restart after automatic installation) then put the CD and install the drivers from the CD.
