How to make video and voice calls on any operating system using your browser and Gmail account - video tutorial

Hi friends, in today's tutorial you'll learn how we can make voice and video calls straight from our browser by logging into our Gmail. All we need is to install a small plugin and have a Gmail account and a browser before us. Installing this plug-in, the time when I log on to your Gmail account you can make video calls and voice. On the left you have a little chat section sidebar. You can invite people to chat (well understood as those who will invite them to chat, and they will have to have a Gmail account) method shown in the video tutorial is available for those using the Ubuntu Linux operating system or other distributions. I for one was impressed by the clarity of sound and image in the time when we made video calls. I would say it's more clear video calling over Yahoo Messenger. On Yahoo Messenger video quality is not as good as if he also gave me see you webcam frames. Yahoo protocol is very crowded and old, this is one of the causes of poor quality of video and voice calls, not to mention that lately merarga Yahoo Messenger has begun to increasingly worse elsewhere disconnects, transfer files is discontinued, no longer sees the writing on the mess or see what others are writing and so on.
If you choose to install the Google Talk desktop client, you can make and transfer files and as well as when using the plug-in, you can make video and voice conversations with your loved ones. Desktop client interface is very simple and clean compared to the Yahoo Messenger, we put banner ads in your contact list is very intuitive and easy to use.
When you want to do file transfer using Google Talk, I recommend you make sure you are not logged into your Gmail account browser you are logged on Google Talk client. Why? For the simple fact that the transfer will not work if a job must be logged in 2. Transferring files can only be achieved if you use Google Talk desktop client
That being said, I can only invite you to watch this video tutorial together. I for a long time gave up Yahoo Messenger and I'm starting to "attach" more and more to Google Talk.
Remember, if you have suggestions, complaints or additions do not hesitate to write in the comments box, de-also if you met the comments box a user has a problem and you can help him, do not hesitate to do it, the only way we can do this place better, see the comments box!
Enjoy !

  • Related to convincing friends to give up Yahoo ... I've tried many times, but in vain. It's about the herd effect "if that one has Yahoo, why should I do anything else?". Or I convinced some to do Windows Live (like me), but I also use Yahoo (both). Google, if they keep up the good work and there will be users to test it and be satisfied with it, it will be good. I haven't used Yahoo ... mail for 2 years, I also use GMail, but I use it less often, but I generally use Windows Live (Hotmail).

  • yes antradevar, sometime a pice them those servers from yahoo and certainly everyone will andrepta to this client. the future may yahoo will become a commercial customer, because they are too ancarcate servers and they will think and believe a solution is a client eu.gmail than expected. bravo for customers anafara promoted Yahoo and others. successful year below.

  • "No distribution (Yahoo Messenger) for linux!" Like you said, it's not the end of the world! The pidgin is exceptional! Google Talk and more! Those who do not give up Yahoo Messenger can use it with a few lesser functions, such as BUZZ, sending files, etc. can use from browser: http://webmessenger.yahoo.com/ However, alternatives are! It's up to the client (human).

  • Tiberius is yahoo messenger on linux debian like to say that finding only know for sure but I know just as debian find yahoo messenger

  • Very interesting, but it was good if you showed us how the webcam works on your laptop .... I also wanted to google talk and I already have a gmail account, but no one wants to change from yahoo. ... And the client from google talk is lighter than yahoo messenger, but it seems that at yahoo messenger you also have games, different things for looking at pictures, etc.

  • Dear friends, you will not stroflocati and protested that the world does not give up on yahoo messenger. It is normal to not do, whether friends, relatives, acquaintances, have a yahoo account and use it mostly on that one. Nobody's going to move to Gmail, Windows Live or other networks that you want to be more trendinezi and will display an air of cool geeks weekend. Dude, yahoo is ok, it does the job, was the first network in Romania, when yahoo offering sort of thing many companies do not exist, therefore it is normal for people to use who know what they all gathered and maintain contacts in many years.

Finish the impression that people will do what you say or think will change their views on things. Wake up and see things as they are.

    • Ratzoiu: Dear friends, stop stroking ...

Are you a finished bathrooms rate on cabbage. It means you are limited to the brain if you prefer to bother with yahoo mesenger ancient, than to try new solutions. PS. Put your hand and you learn Romanian and you're dust. You began to write as cacanarii, without heads and tails. Cult!

      Why use Yahoo Messenger?
      1. To be inundated by the media?
      2. We can not send a decent higher 5K file?
      3. To have metal sound?
      4. To have breaks?
      5. To make video calls to 3Fps?
      6. To use an American who gained a fast-foodist?
      7. etc.
      8. etc.
If a better phone network works perfectly, net has quality all over the country, has good prices, you stay on Telemobil?
This happened in 1997 when launched GSM telephony in Romania, those who were on the NMT network have remained just had friends on the same network.
Our role is to guide the world towards something better.
Unfortunately Skype is not used very little in Romania, sounds crystal and can do almost HD quality video conferencing.
Google Talk and Gmail are thousands of advantages compared to yahoo services, I think it's time we mature and we do not cost anything to change, we have nothing to lose.

Have you heard of evolution? When something starts to go wrong, look for alternatives! Yahoo Messenger, if you keep this silly pace of providing services (execrable audio quality, I'm not even talking about the video quality in which you move twice in 2 minutes / few frames, file transfer that goes damn bad, 3 lei servers that disconnect you so suddenly from the account, extremely annoying flash ad from the list, to say that every day I receive at least 2 spam messages such as: "anytza6: <
You're likely to have remained sadistic this network and like to torment you or perhaps you're the type who gets along with Alora idea where you want to put IESA picnic blanket on her 1 meter sits a pile of garbage.
And I have relatives, even my cousin last night was very happy to have a child, and wanted to talk through headphones to tell me the baby and I said you can not play as I use linux and I can not use the web / yahoo voice in linux and that's it. He sent me some pictures of Bebel (on Pidgin, go transfer) and I commented on the subject and that's not any of us cried that I could do audio call, nor was upset about it!
Your Rockers friends will never stay on Google Talk and you know why? Because he listens to Guta in secret, so they will stay with Yahoo Messenger ...

  • Very good, interesting and informative tutorial. You're right, let the world know that there isn't just yahoo messenger. I would really like a tutorial on how we can use this on Ubuntu and how to install it.

I personally thank you very much for this site - you are special people who want to teach us something.

  • Skype is by far the best mssg client, at least in terms of sound ... Google Talk will never go above average, not that it couldn't, but the company's profits come in proportion of 99% of the advertising, that is to say better from the search engine that implicitly promotes advertising ... so guys use a client dedicated to communications .... or the phone :)))
