How to turn off or restart your PC with a single click on a shortcut - video tutorial

Hello friends, this tutorial will show you how we can stop or restart the PC from a shortcut on your desktop, double-click the shortcut and ready PC stops shortcut will have to it we do it shutdown.exe will launch and will close or restart the PC immediately or after a certain period of time also we'll fix.
Controls are as follows:
For shutdown:
shutdown -s -t 0
To restart:
shutdown -r -t 0
For hibernation:
shutdown -h -t 0
Here, "-t" means the time until the execution of tasks which in our country is "0" ie the command will be executed instantly, we can replace "-t 0" with "-t 60" and the pc will restart, stop or will enters hibernation in 60 seconds, we can use the command without "-t" then the computer will restart, shut down or will enter hibernation default in 30 seconds.
These commands can be used n-CMD or through telnet to do tricks on friends, of course they should have started the Service telnet.

You make a shortcut on the screen, and in the box that appears type exactly% windir% \ System32 \ rundll32.exe powrprof.dll, SetSuspendState. And that's it. If you help you can also access the link "http://www.5starsupport.com/xp-tips/startup-shutdown.htm#standby"

    • cosmin: Hi! I have a problem
I have Windows XP and all my sp2 appears eroare.Eroarea is next
      http://screenshooter.net/8388538/ubnstuk
I can do to get rid of ea.Tin to say that if dao ok over 5 seconds appears again and again.

it looks like your erroarea is caused by Acronis. Somehow your base plate has a VIA chipset? if so, do an update drivers for it. Go to your motherboard manufacturer's website and download the latest basic driver for VIA Chip Raid Set.

See that you have details in the text, respect the spaces, for example "shutdown -s -t 0" not "shutdown-s-t0".

Respect the spaces between letters and numbers, orders and have them up in the text above tutorial if you had read. You only have to take with copy / paste. Unless you know how to do a copy / paste see that we have a tutorial about it. Write up in the search box right on the black edge: video tutorial on how to use: copy, paste, cut and delete, you enter and you will find the tutorial.

  • Usually in figure xp shutdown -s -t command run 3600 to my pc left after an hour, for example when you want to leave soft music to sing and I want to sleep on it: d only problem is that my :( speaker remains switched on all night. and to cancel all run command shutdown -a. Now my question: is not there a way to close your PC to restart after automatic music player to wake you up? and another thing explain to me what was going on little lard hibernation and sleep and you can leave utorentu started seeding and where: hibernation or sleep.

    • egasus08: Usually in xp I give the command in run shutdown -s -t 3600 to turn off my pc after an hour, for example when when I want to leave the music muted to play and I want to fall asleep on it: d the only problem is that- my speaker stays on all night. And to cancel it, it still commands the run shutdown. Now my question: Isn't there a way to turn off the pc and then restart it automatically with the music player to wake you up? And one more thing, explain to me more about what happens to hibernation and sleep and if I can leave the seed on and in which: hibernation or sleep.

You can schedule a PC boot but you need to have a slightly more special BIOS to let you do that, as far as I know it should have the "wake on event" function (start / wake up after an event)
You cannot leave your PC in hibernation or standby and continue your download. In another tutorial, my colleague Cristi explained in detail what happens during hibernation or standby. You can find it by typing in the search box on the right on the black margin: "Power settings, performance, efficiency, sleep, shut down, hibernate on windows 7", enter and you will find the tutorial. What was said there is valid for any operating system.

  • For windows 7 there is a gadget that does the shutdowh, restart and lock commands. It's nice and customizable. I'll try this one on xp even though I use the remote control to turn it off.

  • hello, I have a question is off-topic, but I'll put it on facebook, dak dereanjeaza you want to find someone and Musa who he is, you can learn he type?

  • Hi, thanks for tutorials that you make are invaluable. I would ask if you can do something tutorials related telnet.

  • carashu @ I don't think you will have the opportunity to see about such a thing (telnet)
