We need a few things, first of all we need a printer and a special cartridge for photo printing, this cartridge is put in place of the color one (at least at HP). It works without that cartridge, but the colors will not be 100% perfect. There is a small-big difference between the colors in a color cartridge and a photo one. Last but not least we need photo paper, this is a special paper, even if it is called "paper" it has not the slightest connection with normal paper, it is a kind of cardboard of the best quality, with one of the girls very glossy. Cristi, I have a printer hp psc 1310 / 1315 that brings gorgeous images on paper is like daia 4X6 little like those old standard size, if there your mind. Thanks Sorin for the answer but as far as I know the lightscribe technology does not print color, it prints black and white, gold and different shades of color that the DVD has, or maybe I'm wrong plus that you need a special DVD-Rom drive. The printer I've been using for a few years (about 4 I think) for printing pictures and CDs / DVDs (directly on the surface without labels) is an HP D5160.http://www.emag.ro/imprimanta-cu-jet-hp-photosmart-d5160-a4-q7091b/pd/ERL3MBBBM/ and fuctioneza perfect.
For pictures there is also a special "gray" cartridge, along with the photo, but it is used less, being used for shades of black (especially black and white photo) uses the type of ink compared to the normal black.

hello simple short and to the point, nice tutorial but still I see some problems and dak you would help us a little would be great ... cartridges especially for hp are quite expensive and especially hp56 black hp57 color are 232 ron kre l -I used to refill and I don't really work or if I work I work once or for 2 max after I have to buy again k it keeps drying and to take pictures with such cartridges it's not really worth how much you can do max? maybe some 20 k after they go, it would be nice if you could do a specialized tutorial on the photo kre printer to last in time k cartridge
