How to write a short message next to the clock, in the taskbar on Windows XP, Vista and 7 - video tutorial

Hello friends, in today's tutorial we will learn how to write a personalized message in the taskbar from Windows XP, Vista or 7, or in tray as it was called. Specifically, we will see how we can have our name or a short message (limit is 12 characters) on the right side of the taskbar, immediately after the clock. For the most inventive, they could leave a message to their girlfriend or partner on milk or why not even on the Desktop, a simple "I love you" that will have a pleasant impact for the person who will watch the message. A useful tutorial and much requested in the past by customization enthusiasts or tricks for operating systems. Because at that time it seemed a trivial subject for me to do a tutorial and because I had other software with a higher priority, I decided to postpone the realization of a tutorial on that topic. Today I say that the time has come to do this tutorial, especially since it is something very easy to do and the tutorial does not last more than 4 minutes. That being said, I invite you to watch the video tutorial to see exactly what we need to do to leave a custom message in the taskbar in Windows XP, Vista or 7 that can be deleted or modified at any time.

Interesting would be to tailor START

This is made easy with Resource Hacker (change the file explorer.exe). But the text "START" can you just change the versions of Windows up to XP or Vista / 7 only if you use classic theme. The "Orb" can change 7 Windows Start Button Changer.

For Linux I opened linux.videotutorial.ro site that I often post interesting articles I say. You possibly will only make his presentation when Ubuntu or Linux Mint will release new versions as we have done so far on Linux Mint and Ubuntu. The rest of the tricks, tips, software, linux related news will be on the website mentioned above

  • Mr. Adrian super tutorial and as always useful! But please don't be upset if you tell me the name of the tutorial (s) in which you teach us to install Windows XP on a laptop that only installs Windows 7. I want to install Windows XP because there are certain software (I use it for car diagnostics) which only works on Windows XP. Please believe me that the license of those software is not exactly cheap but it does not work on Windows 7 although I tried everything I saw on this wonderful site, and those from where I bought the software they told me that it really only works on Windows XP. Thank you!

With XP Mode you tried? (It's hard to believe that it will not work with XP Mode or VirtualBox. Write up in the search box to the right of the black border XP Mode, you enter and you will find the tutorial.
A tutorial on installing Windows XP on a laptop is called: How to install Windows XP on an AHCI configuration
