Same thing happened to me. The reason is that you have installed win8 the stick. It has been recognized as a windows partition D and therefore allocated to your partition (which in the past was called D) point E. The solution is the following. Or install from DVD boot or install from the stick after the first restart remove the stick from your computer. Success.
