Hello friends, in today's tutorial we will learn together how to copy / transcode an Audio Track CD in MP3 format, in our Computer using the Ubuntu Linux operating system. As in Windows, if we enter the CD by double-clicking on it and try to simply copy / paste on PC the files contained in the CD, we will notice that although they are copied to our PC, they do not can be played. That is why in both windows and Ubuntu Linux, we have to rip them in order to hear them or rather we will have to extract and convert them. In this video tutorial we have presented 2 methods by which you can do this. The first method is by using the Rhythmbox player. We simply insert the audio CD and a pop-up will appear asking us what we want to open the CD inserted in the optical drive. By default, the option offered to us is Open Rhythmbox. We leave it as it is and click OK. In a few seconds the Rhythmbox interface will open with the tracks contained on the CD, already selected. All we have to do next is to decide on the parts we want to copy / convert to our PC by simply unchecking or unchecking the box in front of the desired piece. if we check the box it means that we want to copy that piece, if we uncheck the box it means that we do not want to copy that piece. What is very interesting is the fact that Rhythmbox, if we insert an original CD, automatically completes the album title, the song and gives the correct name of the audio tracks, I repeat, only if the CD is an original one. It is not very pleasant to copy the songs called Track 1, Track 2, Track 3 so Rhythmbox will help us in this regard. After selecting the desired songs, we go up the edge of the player and click on "Copy tracks to the library" and in a few minutes, we will have the entire CD or just the songs we are interested in, copied to our computer ready for listening in .mp3 format. If you do not want to copy them in mp3 format, depending on the codecs available in your operating system, you can extract them in .wav, .flac, .m4a (AAC), .ogg, .mp2 or .spx format.
The second method we have used it is as exciting and enjoyable than if using Rhythmbox player. From my experience I have found that using the second method will extract files / convert more quickly. It will not name here divlug application used in the second method but I will leave you to discover view this video tutorial.

very good tutorial ... I am a personal one..I am waiting for as many tutorials about linux as I want to learn as much as possible about it..because I fall in love with it every day..especially when I see what can be done by compiz ... in the future..maybe I'll give you tutorials about it..it's something magnificent..I don't know why I wasn't interested in linux earlier..and I stayed on the HORRIBLE windows ... it's like you would go from Dacia to Mercedes. my opinion. I don't think Ubuntu is the best operating system, just as Windows is not XP or Win7 is not the best, the best is the one I like.
