Google Docs OCR helps us convert scanned text into editable documents - video tutorial

Hi friends, in the video tutorial Today I will present new function of Google Docs, it is OCR (optical carcater recognition) technology with which we can convert scanned documents or photos into editable text, a technology too little known and used in our the most famous is Abbyy FineReader OCR application (commercial).
Google Docs offers its services increasingly more substance, recently in google docs was introduced OCR, for many of you this is not a stunt, but when you consider that most programs and services online OCR cost a lot of money we realize that google help us enormously by introducing this feature in Google Docs.
For starters OCR software from Google Docs allows import PDFs and documents picture: jpg, png and gif, limit document is 2 MB, for the number of documents uploaded there is no limit, we only have a limited storage in google docs 1024 1 ie giga MB document storage, I think it is cool enough considering that we are talking of documents.
For good results using Google Docs OCR option must try to upload images and documents have scanned at a higher resolution, I advise you to use a higher resolution scan or better resolution pictures.
An extra in google docs is the possibility translations of documents, translation is done very quickly from / in almost any in any language, this tool is not too we find in numerous office suites than using helpful tools.
Minus the OCR function of Google Docs documents as loss formatraii but I am sure that in the future this shortcoming will be removed.
Bravo Google, we astaptam as pleasant surprises.
If you want to use a little more advanced service, I recommend a tutorial conducted by my colleague Adrian's online services OCR Online.

So I ask you out of curiosity ... you also typed up in the search box on the right on the black margin: Microsoft Word and you entered? or Open Office?

  • But the way the documents and photos that you upload them to the server? S
We edit documents and convert them to its server remain in their database? Abby is a better all Fine Reader.

This is another topic discussed by users: D Google says that it keeps them but does not look through them but others contradict .. You use with confidence that no one cares what documents you put there and you will not have to google to translate your words to find out what's in the document;)
