Mounting a motherboard and a hard drive on a small case - video tutorial

Hi friends, today we continue with installing the components for a PC, we mount the motherboard and hard drive on a small cabinet.
The housing used in the tutorial is the cheapest on the market, it was specifically chosen for this tutorial, usually in a housing standard format is much easier to fit the motherboard and other components. If you can put together a PC on this case, you can make any PC. In general it's good to get used to the burden, then everything will seem easier. In such a case it's not easy to work!
To be honest, this case, even if it is cheap (the cheapest), is quite well organized, if the sheet on it was thicker….
When installing the motherboard must necessarily use spacers, this helps avoid any accidental contact between junctions on the back of PCB (short circuit), another argument in favor of spacers is the space they need clips cooler to be mounted properly.
Before mounting the actual motherboard, do not forget the mask back panel, this is a tablet with cutouts matching the panel on the back of the motherboard (USB, net, audio, mouse, keyboard, etc.), be sure to a possible change of the motherboard, motherboard each place has a different back panel and another back plate default.
The hard disk is mounted quite strangely, together with the case we receive some metal brackets, we have to mount them on the hard disk and only after that we will be able to mount the hard disk, but not on the case but on a board that will be mounted in turn on the case, your head hurts.
This tutorial is part of a series of video tutorials dedicated mounting hardware components on a PC. In case you have not seen previous episodes on this topic, I invite you to watch them in order of their posting:
How to mount a CPU cooler and RAM on the motherboard
How to mount a new source or how to replace old power
How to mount cables to the housing (front panel) on the motherboard
Optional for knowledge:
The difference between a good and a poor source, connectors, noise and cold start sources

Continuous series… ..

Will follow Deun year or so

I do not think tutorials are just for stupid people, just like us to explain everything more clearly, to make it more user friendly site.
Not all have experience, those who can not learn quickly and those who can and they will find something interesting among the explanations given in tutorials.

  • That's a good thing. A friend wants to buy a PC in pieces (this month the motherboard .......) and I didn't really know how to fix the motherboard and all that to put on a PC. Now I saw and I will manage to assemble but with a processor (I don't know what to tell him to buy). I don't really trust him. I learned to install windows because I had no money and the system was dusted. I'm waiting for the next tutorial about assembling a PC

  • Hello Cristi, advice to you use a magnetic-head screwdriver will not bother you and you can be great craftsmen better housing, I saw overdrive hand, I pac I put in magnet and tighten smoothly. But where do you do all this to you in the living room, on a table where?
