Sandboxie, a virtual environment for running dubious software and more, in complete safety - video tutorial

Hi friends, today I will present a program that protects better than any security software, here I am not referring to a type program antivirus, antispyware or firewall, I mean a virtual environment very quickly that we can run applications dubious and beyond, we can try and legitimate applications, which we know can sometimes create problems.
The software that you present it is called Sandboxie (crate sand), it creates a virtual environment where we can run or install applications, a kind of limbo virtual entering the software but can not get out there software can be run normally although their functions and settings, the only difference is that they have no direct connection with our other files.
Consider the following scenario:
1. You are on yahoo messenger and a friend will send you a link to a "cool picture" or a "funny video", in fact there is a big virus waiting for you (shaved in the head, tattooed on the motorcycle with a slap in the hand), curiosity will not let you not access that link sent by "your friend", of course you will realize what follows…
2. If you run yahoo messenger in the "sandboxed" virtual environment, the virus will not hurt, it will run but it will not be able to go anywhere to do damage, it will hit the virtual walls of the sandbox.
Sandboxie environment, is totally isolated from the real world, we have demonstrated this and n tutorial which I downloaded the virtual browser was not available in the normal environment (non sandboxed).
Perhaps it seems complicated if you have not been paying attention, nothing will understand how things work after watching the tutorial probably going to take my few chestnuts in the head from specialists for explanations too simplistic, do this to every man understands what we speak.

Applications that should run in Sandboxie or sandboxed (in sandbox):
Software chat:
Yahoo Messenger
Google Talk
Pidgin
Skype or Whatsapp
Web Browser:
Firefox
Internet Explorer
Opera
Chrome
Email client:
Thunderbird
Outlook
Outlook Express
The Bat
Manager download:
Free Download Manager
GetRight
FlashGet
These are just a few types of applications and applications that can bring malware into your computer, you can add to this list and you are looking for.
Happy browsing and do not forget, Sandboxie can protect yourself much better than an antivirus protect you.
Remember, if you have suggestions, complaints or additions do not hesitate to write in the comments box, de-also if you met the comments box a user has a problem and you can help him, do not hesitate to do it, the only way we can do this place better, see the comments box!
Enjoy !

  • Beautiful tutorial! I really needed something like that ...
But when you entered the C> SandBox partition> your user> DefaultBox and drive (Can you create as many partitions as you want? Can you delete from the partitions?)

    • Nicu Dumitrescu: She has such a KIS box. Is there anything similar?

KIS 2011 x64 nu are ... "The Safe Run for Applications component from Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 does not support the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows XP x64, Microsoft Windows Vista x64, Microsoft Windows 7 x64."

  • Mr. Cristi, sorry for returning to the same subject (I hurried to see the tutorial first) On KIS 2010 (for which you have already done a tutorial, after which I installed KIS 2010) there is Sand Box. Now on KIS 2011 it is called "shared directory safe execution) My question is: if I have KIS 2011 (licensed) do I still need the software in this tutorial? I do not want to have on the hard drive two software that do the same thing. Thank you. ( Anyway, I'll test Sandboxie too)

  • Exceptional!
I frequently use virtualization to test various applications or dubious executables (cracks, keygens, etc.), as well as to surf the NET. Until now, I used VMware Workstation, only the system was running harder, due to the sharing of resources with the virtual machine. I see that this software has solved the problem, and offers two advantages: safety and speed.
    Thanks for the tip.

  • Hello Cristi! I saw that you made a series of tutorials on wire. As a proposal for a tutorial or series of tutorials about Photoshop as you do. Progam is quite complex and I think it would be a lot of homework to do tutorials for this program.

    • And I also subscribe to a tutorial! Gigel
