Hi friends, in this tutorial we present software archiving / extracting 7-zip, it is a very efficient packer, maybe even better than the famous WinRAR.
I chose to use 7-zip while ago when I needed to extract the file. NBH from an executable, WinRAR could not do that, so I turned to 7-Zip, then I started easy to use and easily became my favorite software in Desktop Utilities category.
7-Zip knows how to handle most archives, maybe even extract the contents of executable or explore can extract backup images created with Windows Backup.
No Securing archives is not a problem for 7-zip, encryption mode BEA256-bit programs can pose serious Brute Force.
If you look closely on official website, We see that 7-zip is also a champion of compression, it can collect the files in the archive as in a vice, and do it better than WinRAR.
I almost forgot the option of split-files, using this option can split a file into several pieces, the function is useful when you want to send a large file online using file sharing services, also can use split-file when we want to Carrying a game 12 giga, we can split it into many pieces 3 4 gigs each and 3 burn it on DVD.
7-zip means well with processors that support Hyper-Thrading technology, as we know new generation processors have up to 12 threads, unfortunately WinRAR not so clever on top also costs some bucks.

I also tried "7-zip" on a folder with saved documents and web page, almost 300 Mb, but WinRar was about 5 times faster.
Did you right click and properties on the final archive to see which is the smallest? Obviously, 7zip stayed longer because it compressed better, the resulting archive being smaller. WinRar lasted less because it was more superficial in archiving;)! A simple logic if you were to think :)
