How much electricity or money does your computer consume per month - video tutorial

Hi friends, tutorial today will show you how you can determine the power consumption of your computer to and thus the amount of money that you are forced to pay monthly for electricity consumed by the computer, the operation is very simple, we just need 3 things.
1. A free software which is called Joulemeter.
2. Or at a desktop in Windows (Start / All Programs / Accessories / PC), for calculating consumption weekly, monthly or annually.
3. The average price for 1 KWh (kilowatt hour).
You will see in the video tutorualul is not hard to find out how computer use, need to do a few simple calculations to determine consumption per day, week, month or even year.
Below are instructions original software, Joulemeter is soft in alpha stage, meaning it is in a development phase, as you know versions through which a soft ditch following: Pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta, RC (release candidate) , RTM (release to marketing) and finally GA version is the final version set for official launch on the market, our software (Joulemeter) is in Alpha phase, likely in the future will get more features and better looking interface.
We must understand any errors that may occur during its use, in any case software goes pretty well, considering that it is in a development phase.
Joulemeter official software instructions:

Information on the date displayed
Power Consumption:
BASE: The minimum power drawn by the when powered on this computer.
CPU: Additional power drawn depending on CPU utilization (with processor workload changes and frequency).
Disk: Additional power drawn due to disk activity (changes with IO workload)
Monitor: Additional power drawn by the monitor (monitor changes the when Turned on and on laptops with LCD brightness).
Total: Total current drawn power.
Average: Average of the total power drawn over time, since installation of Joulemeter.
Power Consumption (from default model) That power implies time is Foreca Using generic power usage Assumptions, based on typical usage for type of machine (laptop, desktop).
Power Consumption (learned from model) That power implies Foreca date Using the model is specific to your machine and is more accurate. See "Calibration" Instructions.
Statistics (since ...) since the Specified Measures Accumulated usage time.
Slept time includes time in the when the machine WAS Sleep, Hibernate, or Shutdown modes. Power usage in THESE modes is negligible for most machines.
Awake Indicates the total time duration for Which WAS on the machine.
Estimated Consumption Indicates the total energy Used by the machine. The error in the estimate depends on the power model, used. The error is low When the Power Consumption section Shows "model learned from."
Calibration
Learn the power model for your machine to get more accurate power again. For laptops, the when the battery is at Least 75% Charged, disconnect the power cord. For desktops, to connect WattsUp meter (see Instructions at the project webpage). Then, go to the Windows Start button, find the folder in your Joulemeter programs, expand it, and start Joulemeter Calibration.

  • Cur greet a month and I pay £ 120 WONDER HOW MANY DC?. Miata NOT TO SAY??? Why pay so much

  • Very good looking old this tutorial even something which to measure the consumption or even to know how use a desktop because I was going to buy one I hope ami future year and scares me all sorts of people like that, consuming and merita.Eu not have a laptop now but I want to purchase a desktop ami now that I saw how you consume the d-voastra.Chiar deloc.Si does not seem much like you said I would not have thought related to the 24 / 24.Poate 4 8-hour which would ansemna quite acceptable as a consumer.
I still have a problem installing this software but I get the following error: unable to find an entry point named 'RegisterPowerSetingNotification'in DLL'user32'. Xp.Multumesc I use windows

  • Very instructive tutorial. The program works very well.
It remains to be seen how exactly calculated consumption.
