• com tutorialu primu this is mine and I want to say it's a pretty good backup solution and does not require additional software, good tutorial as usual

  Last night I made a backup root partition with Ubuntu 4 10.04 ext. Partition has only 10G 5G and busy. 7 backup was done in minutes. I installed Ubuntu anyway 10.10 because I wanted to test reality. Then I restored the backup. Restoration took 2 minutes
  I encountered no problem to restore any backup nor create
  Stop judging software by its graphical interface. MAKE A GREAT MISTAKE. There are hundreds of software with a "sexy" interface that gives it a hard time (Go to the Acronis forum and read how many complaints the Acronis True Image software has) Search for an application to be useful, search and look at its power and potential not the way it looks.
  You tied vain graphical interface which is very explicit (There's no one to blame if you do not know nor want to learn a foreign language called English without which you are dead if you want to be somewhat better in the PC ) if we so, censorious find any application.

• I subscribe and those referred by axelluny: Clonezilla is a Linux application that involves a higher than average. Leaving this aside, the biggest drawback is that the image of that part result in a HUGE file. And then, considering both major shortcomings, Clonezilla is by far an application unfriendly, which is why I will not ever use after tests made following this tutorial.
  Especially since there are already much more user-friendly applications accompanied by what is known as "GUI" for a much easier operation!
