How to start the computer using the mouse or typing a password on the keyboard - video tutorial

Hello friends, in this tutorial we will learn together how we can start the computer using only the mouse or keyboard without having to press the Turn On (Power) button. Many of you probably have small children who in their play touch without understanding what they are doing, the restart or turn on button of the PC while you work. Obviously if this happens, your work will be lost if the computer restarts or shuts down suddenly without first saving the documents you were working on. Or you may have children who are too computer dependent and want to limit their access to it. You can do this by entering a password and so the computer will start only if you type the password correctly on the keyboard and the child will have access to the computer only when you want. If you find yourself in any of the above situations and want to implement these options, all you have to do is watch this video tutorial. All you have to do is restart your computer, and enter the BIOS by pressing the Delete or Del key. Given that a computer must be kept on the floor, it is much closer and within reach of the little ones, it will inevitably happen to wake up with the computer restarted while working something and when you return from a short break, you will be surprised that your work or the document you were working on is no longer in the state left by you and the software you had open is no longer on the desktop, or the conversation you were in has disappeared. So, if you want to prevent such "disasters" and implement these options I invite you to watch this video tutorial together. Do not forget, if you have suggestions, complaints or additions do not hesitate to write in the comments section, also if meet on the comments section a user who has a problem and you can help him, do not hesitate to do it, only this way we can make this place better, see you in the comments section!
Enjoy !

    • paul: But if you activate one of these options, you can also start the PC and the button?

Try and see, do not jump anything in the air. so you can find out for myself!

    • paul: But if you activate one of these options, you can also start the PC and the button?

you didn't hear that if you activate one of the 2 options you can't start the pc from the button only from the keyboard or mouse: P Adrian it was clear what was the point of starting it from the keyboard with the password if it worked and the button on the unit? :))

  • I do not have those options in BIOS. I have an Acer Extensa 5640G. Perhaps you have an older version of bios, or me.

It's about Desktop PCs, not Laptops! I personally have not heard of laptops that have the ability to start them with the keyboard or mouse ...

  • Mentioned that the wireless mouse does not work tested and I think any USB mouse does not work, I weaver works only on normal mouse PS / 2

      Are you sure? :)
If you have USB keyboard and mouse will have to go into BIOS to Enable Integrated Peripherals and give the options: USN Keynoard Support and USB Mouse Support! then save the F10.

  • I respectfully greet you Adian. I also tried to enter these settings on my PC and it didn't work, although the options sound in their place in the BIOS. I noticed that in parentheses there is an S3 - [S3] - both on the keyboard and on the mouse. I don't understand what that S3 refers to but I gave up. I have a GeForce6100 motherboard and I'm happy with it. It's not something special but the power options are even more numerous but I didn't insist on catching my ears. Anyway, the tutorial is welcome and it wouldn't be bad to give us some more tutorials related to the bios options. I THANK YOU for everything you do AND A LOT OF GOOD LUCK!

    • florin: I salute you with respect Adian. Have you seen the one about "some brief explanations about the BIOS"? Type in the search box on the right on the black border what I said in quotation marks, enter and you will find the tutorial!

  • I have a BIOS similar to yours (Award from 2007), but I have different options (I knew about it for a long time, but now I can't use them because I have a wireless keyboard and mouse kit on USB and it doesn't detect them until starting). But for me there is no double click on the mouse ... it's only enabled / disabled and if I activate it by touching / moving the mouse it starts, and on the keyboard there is also Any Key (any key I press, it starts).

    • Andrew: Salut.mie still appears when I open the computer to release the rear on c.ce to do?

Clean your PC, watch the tutorial with CCleaner. Type up in the search box on the right on the black margin: CCleaner, enter and you will find the tutorial. or you can search for "windows optimization" enter and you will find tutorials about several software that deals with the cleaning and care of your computer ...
