How to rename operating systems in Boot Manager in case of a multi boot Windows - video tutorial

Hi friends, in today's tutorial we will see how rename entries in your computer's boot menu where we have two or more operating systems on the same computer 7 windows. When we install two or more operating systems on the same PC, the PC startup will be able to choose which OS to boot. If you have a Windows XP, a Windows Vista and a 7 in installation on the same PC at startup will be listed in the Windows boot manager all operating systems being able to choose where to enter. Everything OK up here but what do we do if we have installed 2 or more times 7 or Windows Vista? In Windows Boot Manager, as there are two more operating systems to Windows Vista or 7 they will appear in list form:
Windows 7
Windows 7
Windows 7
How can we know which one I want to boot from that and what I have installed the software we installed on one and the other? This tutorial was proposed by a user on the comments box that told us that he 3 7 Windows operating systems installed on the same computer, one thing Peter, one for games and one for all Windows 7 intrnet and being in windows boot manager, all appear with the name Windows 7. User can rename wonder how entries in Windows boot manager so they can more easily recognize the operating system wants to boot when PC starts. For this you will need to use EasyBCD a great soft when it comes to such sensitive tasks that require modification of files related to the boot-up the operating system. We've approached another occasion EasyBCD that I used everything to change the boot order asistemelor operating in case of a dual boot or repair boot loader operating system was not observed when the order operating system installation if a dual boot.
What I explained in this tutorial applies to a dual boot with Windows Vista operating systems. When we have a dual boot between Vista and XP 7, it's simple systems will appear in the list of corresponding names but the problem arises when we 3 or installed Windows Vista or 7. That said, I invite you to watch video tutoralul to see exactly how rename operating systems Windows Boot Manager (listed in the boot menu) when we installed 2 or Windows Vista or 7 often with the help of EasyBCD

And I met this problem in the past, you have to enter in Windows XP or Windows 7 (no matter where you go) and change the drive letter where Windows is installed other.
If you do not know how to change the partition letter to apply the following method:
my computer -> manage -> disk management -> change drive letter and paths and here you can change the letter and that's it.

You have nothing to draw from Hiren `s BootCD, you can create one yourself. Write up in the search box to the right of the black edge: How to make a live CD with Windows XP using BartPE free app, hit enter and you will find the tutorial.

  • All respectful Mr. Adrian.

For Tomi: I have 3 Windows 7 systems and they all look like "C" although they were installed in different partitions. Before I had installed 3 Windows XP systems and the partitions where they were installed did not change. It's ok.

  • No matter how or where the system is installed, on a partition or other hard drive ... the moment you boot on it, each of them will give the label of the partition in which it is as C (even if it is really the second partition or 3rd or on another HDD, when you enter the system, it sees the partition on which it is installed as partition C. You don't have to go after that. You have to keep this in mind and remember where you installed Windows, on what partition and on what hard drive.

  • Very good tutorial as previous ones also give me wondering if there is a program like the one from Gigabyte Smart6 which has the option to boot the system operating very raipd-os QuickBoot

  • ... the idea is that when you have more than one HDD it doesn't make sense to do dual boot ... dual boot, trial boot or "N '' boot can be done on one HDD but if you have more HDDs it's good to do separate installations, meaning that each hard drive has its own boot sequence if it's a master ... I have various operating systems installed on the external hard drives ... not that I'm bragging but it would be a good tutorial topic, by the way!

  • I have windows 3 7 sites so called Windows, Windows and Windows 7 7 (Recovered)
Last 2 installed in partitions D and F.Pot to erase the past 2 with EasyBCD, that know how to delete them but I wonder if wiping them with something first Windows 7 affected (the C drive). Thanks!

  • I 3 Windows: Windows 7, Windows and Windows 7 7 (Recovered).
The last 2 are installed in partitions D and F. If I delete them with EasyBCD do I affect the first Windows 7 installed in partition C?
