Although we license Windows 7 I wanted to test Ubuntu to run on computer future we plan to make it personal in "pieces". I also had a similar problem partially. Every time you watch a movie in full screen, the CPU load greatly, and the image tends to be jerky, interrupted here and there (just picture).
The problem was solved by disabling the visual effects. (Right click --- change desktop background - visual effects ---- no visual effects).
