Move all Android applications to the SD card with the Darktremor Apps2SD mode - video tutorial

Hi friends, today's tutorial we'll see what we can do if we do not have space sufiecient on our smartphone to install applications. Basically we will see how to use DarkTremor, a script that allows you to move data applications on the SD card. Many devices have a very small internal memory and that is why at a time, after we install some applications we receive notice how that space is insufficient. DarkTremor allows us to move entirely all applications on the SD card with Dalvik cache (virtual memory or virtual environment in which applications are running and optimized).
However, as we can use DarkTremor, we will have to fulfill some conditions:
1. Smartphone must be at the root
2. You must have flash-watching ClockWorkMod Recovery to be flash-ui DarkTremor.
How to root LG Optimus One output a P500 have already made a tutorial: https://www.videotutorial.ro/?p=6690
How to flash tutorial uieste ClockWorkMod Recovery already exists: https://www.videotutorial.ro/?p=7475
Once we have met these conditions, we need to create a partition EXT2, 3 or 4 our data SD card. About how to do this Cristi spoke to my colleague in this tutorial: https://www.videotutorial.ro/?p=6681
You can create a partition or EXT2 EXT3 if your kernel supports EXT4 partition format you can easily convert EXT4 with DarkTremor. How do you know what kind of partition supports your kernel and how to convert the EXT EXT2 in 3 or Ext3 in EXT4, tutorialuo explained in the video.
DarkTremor can be used with the help of the Terminal Emulator available in Free Market or A2SDGUI can install a graphical interface for DarkTremor. If we decide to use interface for Darktremor A2SDGUI it will have many options than the main ones. Using Terminal Emulator, with a few commands will have access to all of its functions DarkTremor.
The official page of the script DarkTremor is on Facebook at this address: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Darktremor-Apps2SD/127051514027383?sk=notes (Can be accessed without to have a Facebook account)
Tips and recommendations:
- for partition EXT2, 3 or 4 allocate at least 512 MB. If your ROM kernel supports EXT4 partition it is recommended to do it EXT4
- for a better running of the applications it is recommended to move the Dalvik Cache on the SD card and to activate Zipalign for an optimization of the applications and a faster running.
- The swap is optional and you will not feel a very high performance when using it, especially if you have a class 2 SD card
- if you have a class 6 or 10 SD card you will feel an improvement in the performance and running speed of the applications if you move them to the SD card.
Frequent questions:
- If I flash DarkTremor and enable moving applications to the SD card, when I install an application will it automatically go to the SD card?
R: Yes
- Can I move only the applications on the SD card and not the Dalvik Cache?
A: Yes but it is recommended to move and Dalvik cache because it is located by default all the internal memory of the smartphone and time, installing applications that will occupy storage space in memory.
- Can applications and Dalvik Cache be moved back to the phone's internal memory?
A: Yes (in tutorial showed how to do this). To do this, you must be very careful! If you have installed many applications, they will not fit in the internal memory of the phone and we will have to uninstall them before they move applications from the SD card to the internal memory.
If you have any questions regarding this tutorial, remember that the comments box yours! That said, I invite you to watch the video tutorial to see exactly how to proceed if we do not have enough space to install apps on our Android phone and how we can move all applications to the SD card.

You could do a tutorial on how to overclock a processor LG Optimus One?

This was discussed in the tutorial 2 days ago. It is obvious that you are not a loyal visitor of our site ... or probably you, like many others, run the tutorials and on this occasion you will have a lot to lose.
Type up in the search box on the top right of the black border "install flash player on lg optimus one p500" enter and you will find the tutorial ...

  • Very useful tutorial! I have to follow him and I, even I was thinking the other day at the tutorial, I searched the Internet for information, I took A2SDGUI the Market app, and had found a Facebook page for Darktremor, but I formatted SD card (2GB, came with the phone) using ROM Manager and I see that I created partition Ext3. Is it the kernel? I 2.3.3 original ROM but 3 days I changed the kernel LG home at Franco's it: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php? T = 1148196.

Adrian, what ROM and what kernel you use now? Can you recommend from your experience some custom Rom + kernel versions suitable for Optimus One. One may interest you maximum performance you can squeeze out of this smartphone, another (like me) battery life while everything is functional smartphone applications Running decent.

Thanks in advance and congratulations on tutorials!

    • Adrian responds naughtily to many users of the sites, but now he is very right, for example! the man says, "What ROM and kernel are you using now?" You can recommend us from your experience some custom Rom + kernel variants suitable for Optimus One '' ... my answer would be a question: How old are your friends and where did you find out? to the tail who are the ones who post comments? ... not that it matters or not .... still man-ule, Adi don't kill with the hammer or hedgehogs with the ass! ... Dear!

I showed 2 days ago what ROM I use, look at the tutorial with "installing flash player on lg optimus one p500"

      • AdrianGudus: We have now shown that ROM use 2 days, watch the tutorial to "install flash player on lg optimus one p500"

I saw, thanks! Unfortunately, it can take into account for that 3G not functional.
In other news, I found an opinion as the Dalvik cache is better to remain on internal memory if you do not have a cart of applications installed, the explanation was that it would be quickly accessed from the internal memory of the smartphone , than in the SD card, what do you Adrian?

    • Hello frate.dca I understand ac3st Dalvik cache is cacheul a virtualization program is a kind of internal sandbox Android.
If so, you can make a tutorial how we crypta accest cache because (in my opinion) all applications including chachurile brovserelor and system cache (cache karnelui), virtual memory (if you have the Windows pagefile.sys do not know in analogue android )) wats app cache, etc. mesenger All go through this dalvick cache and encrypt it so if we do not need to encrypt the entire operating sistem6l or SD card (if class 4 which is quite slow) So the fundamental question is: is poaate ??????? bravo anyway ????? ptru tutorialu this.

  • Hi, isn't there a possibility to be able to move all the applications on the card without root / etc? (Noob here- I'm a bit afraid to go to root / clockworkmod etc ... not even what role does it have at least: |)

    • Symbian:
Hello, is there any way you can move all applications on the card without root / etc? (Noob here-me kind of afraid to stick to root / ClockworkMod etc ... What does not even: |)

If, you search better on our site there are tutorials dedicated to each topic "what it means and what root is used for" or "How to use ClockworkMod recovery for flash, backup, restore and much more"
You link the two issues above text exactly in the tutorial that I'm sure you've ignored (probably know much about these things and do not care (I hope you notice the sarcasm)

Learn to use a site! When you hover your mouse over the red text, the mouse cursor turns into a glove which means that word is click-able ... it contains a link and if you click on that word, you will end up on another page where, in our case you will reach the tutorials mentioned above.
It's damn hard to naivighezi a site is super, super, mega hard

  • I would like to mention that I tried this method on the ROM version 2.3.3 and the stock kerner related to this original version of ROM, having root on the phone LG Optimus One P500 and did not go to transfer any application on the card, in despite the fact that I partitioned the sd card as described in the tutorial! Probably the phone must run a custom ROM. Let's try again .... Thanks for the tutorial! Greetings and best wishes only to the "Videotutorial.ro" team and last but not least to the site visitors.

    • ddsutu:
I would like to say that I tried this method 2.3.3si Kerner ROM version for this version of the original stock ROM with root the LG Optimus One P500 and transfer did not go to any application on the card, despite the fact that I partitioned the SD card as described in the tutorial! probably need to run your custom ROM.Mai necessarily a try .... Thanks for the tutorial! Regards and best wishes only good team "Videotutorial.ro" and not least his website visitors.

What does "it didn't work" mean? how did you know it didn't work?

      • AdrianGudus: What does "did not work"? how did you figure that did not work?

To be very brief! I realized that it does not work as follows: after I proceeded EXACTLY as in the tutorial described Cristi, I refer to the partitioning of the card, I followed ATOCMAI the steps described in this tutorial. ordered to "Apps have in internal Storage!" the phone restarted, as it should. After that, I went "nice" in the A2SDGUI application to the "System Information" section and I found that all the progress bars that are in that section are zero. no file. And when I wanted to move Dalvik cache to "Dalvik Cache on SD-EXT", using the "Move and rebuild" command, I had a message that alerted me as follows: "not enought space left". In conclusion, I think, on stock ROM 2.3.3 and the kernel related to it, I don't think it works! At least on my phone! We are still trying;) I respect and appreciate the effort to show us another face of Andrid stock! Thank you, greetings and best wishes only to the videotutorial.ro team and last but not least to the visitors of this site!

  • Hi ..... I also have a problem when I turn on the calc I get this message "Scanning BIOS Image in Hard Drive" a tutorial for this problem .... I did not manage to bother at all ..... thanks I'm waiting for a rasp.

  • AdrianGudus: If, looking better on our site are tutorials for each topic Dečić "means and what it's root" or "How to use ClockworkMod Recovery to flash, backup, restore and more"

Easy easy ... I know very well how to use a site / this site (I'm not new here), I know about those tutorials, only I didn't need root./etc. I only asked if it's possible without them. if I can't, I'll also root: P.

No need to be so offensive (I obs d this in several posts of yours). Thanks for the response.
