Introducing the new Google Chrome OS operating system - video tutorial

Hello friends, in today's tutorial I am very pleased to introduce you to the Google operating system called Chromium OS or Google Chrome OS. The name Chromium OS is currently used for distribution that is still in development. The operating system presented today is not a final version but a test version so you can download and test it on a virtual machine. It is an open source operating system programmed in C and C ++ based on Unix-like (Linux) intended exclusively for using web applications. the operating system began to be developed on July 7 (my birthday… what a coincidence) 2009 and will be completed and offered to the general public in the second half of 2010. Google Chrome OS will not be available for download for to be downloaded and installed but will be installed on specific Google hardware (netbooks or notebooks) or partners. The same thing is happening now with Apple's Mac OS, if you want to run Mac OS you have to buy Apple hardware. The interface of this operating system actually uses the Google Chrome browser interface that we are all used to. So there will be no problem in using it. The reason why google develops this operating system to work only with web based aplications (web applications) is that, anyway, man spends most of his time on the net, on various media sites, such as YouTube. Obviously, over time, web applications will be more and more "evolved" if we can say so, and we will end up using applications such as Photoshop and Autocad, without having them on our own PC, but by simply accessing a site. Whether or not access to these web applications will be paid, remains to be seen. I personally see this aspect of moving work to PC on web applications, as a solution to combat piracy, and I do not know why but I think this will be achieved in the end. Who will benefit from this? It depends on who you ask! If we were asked as simple users what we think about it. I would answer that it is very good for this to happen. Why? Because I won't have to have large capacity storage hard drives to store data. I will no longer have to complicate my operating system with all kinds of software, I will no longer have to worry about backup, or worry about insufficient storage space. Everything will be cloud, on different sites and the PC will be used only for these web applications to be accessed. What google will gain as well as the sites that will develop web applications is not hard to guess!
All we need to run and test the operating system is to download an archive containing a virtual hard this operating system and a virtual machine like VirtualBox, which we have more tutorials or VMWare Player virtual machine all commercial . To download the archive containing the virtual hardware operating system that you need uTorrent anyway it has everyone in this Magnetlink PC and URI:

magnet:?xt=urn:btih:TZOVZA4KGJCINT2M3ZDWZU2DIU4HTYLK

which you will have to put in your torrent client and the download will start soon. wait for the download to complete, then extract the archive to a folder and follow the steps in the tutorial. That being said, I invite you to watch this video tutorial together and if you want, I am waiting for you in the comments section of this tutorial to discuss the topic mentioned above. "What will companies that develop web applications gain and what will Google gain if everyone uses web applications?"
Remember, if you have suggestions, complaints or additions do not hesitate to write in the comments box, de-also if you met the comments box a user has a problem and you can help him, do not hesitate to do it, the only way we can do this place better, see the comments box!
Enjoy !

From your source for the current PC must have a free molex plug that looks SO you will need to connect it to your hard drive of the HERE

If the hard drive is SATA plug your food must come from the source should look like SO

If you do not see any SATA power plug from your source it means that your source does not have SATA connectors and you will have to resort to buying a Molex to SATA "converter" that looks SO (Click on the words written in red)

    • Alex: Beautiful! Can you do a tutorial and depsre Mac or Linux distributions. Sucees!

Did you read the text above the tutorial? Of course not....

There I said so: the operating system Mac OS can be run only on Apple software and not on ordinary PCs. Have you seen how much a Mac Book Pro? or Mini?

About Linux distributions we have tutorials ... about Mandriva, Kiwi Linux, Ubuntu I'm not saying ... we have a lot. You can find them by writing in the box on the top right on the black border: linux or mandriva or kiwi linux ... or ubuntu ... enter and you will find the tutorials.

Can be run on the PC, with incompatibilities that's right. Yes, I know the prices because I ws interested in passing on the mac.

    • Hmmm, I don't see why I would use Google's OS if I can't install it on my own PC (I don't use a notebook or netbook, because I have nothing to do with them). And cloud computing deserves a separate discussion, I don't think so. everything is so "pink".

Alex, tutorials and all kinds of information about Linux distributions (including how to install) can be found here and on many other sites - just look for them. Make a small effort too!

And speaking of Linux distributions: tomorrow (more precisely in 15 hours) openSUSE 11.3 appears - maybe you should try to present other distributions besides Ubuntu and Mandriva.
After all, that's all the charm - to be able to choose!

OpenSuse is very commercially oriented, and belongs to Novell, it doesn't really address home users but rather bussines or compani use. it has a lot of useless "stuff" for a normal user ... and it's a bit subdued and sensitive when it comes to "stability" ... at least that's how it was a long time ago when I played with it. The sensitive point of this cast is the Yast who has been assigned too many "tasks" if Yast suffers anything has gone to hell. I don't like it and I never liked OpenSuse, it's very crowded, it boasts that it does that ... and that ... and the other and in the end it doesn't do any good. For me, Opensuse is a Bloatware

  • very good tutorial ... I would like a tutorial about C and C ++ ... to know more about them, their interface, what versions they are, etc.

  • Browser rather than OS. Better integrated in the browser options and sucking those operating systems that can not call something an OS. There are very few options for even a browser, give for a OS.

Well, considering that this operating system is addressed to notebooks or netbooks (I conclude that you have not read the text above the tutorial) I do not think there is the problem of few options! Let's be serious ... what can you do with a netbook? More than reading your email, editing something in the office or doing a basic edit in Gimp, let's say ... what else can you do on a Display like a Vocabulary? With a Netbook, you're supposed to be on the road all the time and you really don't need super processing power so a whole Windows 7 operating system is really useless in my opinion!

  • I would also like to see a tutorial as soon as possible .. with this bone, to install it from a usb and even from a cd ... dvd ... and I saw somewhere..ChromiumOS Zero runs on usb .. I would really like a tutorial with ..if if possible.I uploaded something..but it didn't work out .. forget linck "http://www.topopage.net/google-chrome/chromiumos- XNUMX-XNUMX-chrome-os-to-usb-stick / "
