Three methods of installing software in Ubuntu - video tutorial

Hello friends, in this tutorial we will learn together 3 methods by which we can install software on the Ubuntu Linux operating system. Because this topic is very diverse, I chose to present you today only 3 methods to install software in Linux using only the graphical interface without the need for a Terminal or other "tumbles". The more complicated methods or using the Terminal I will present them in the tutorials that will follow, if you want this too. I think everyone knows how to install software on Windows, we need the .exe file, double click and follow its installation wizard by clicking on the "endless" Next, then as if the dozens of Next are not enough , we are asked about a lot of software, if we agree with the contractual terms, where you can say that some of them put a lot of tools on our necks and some toolbars for the browser or wine and other software besides the one we want to install initially.
Well on Ubuntu Linux everything is more streamlined and much easier. Aci software come to us, everything will have us to do is to open the Ubuntu Software Center (Ubuntu software) to choose which category you want to install software or to search the search box towards the right and once found software dam click Install. Once the software installed, the Install button will change to Remove or Uninstall, by simply clicking on it will be uninstalled software in our computer.
As you have read the above steps for installing software on Windows, Linux not beat us one head and we must not 10 Next sites to install software, nor will you ever see any software Linux that will put your neck or toolbaruri applications that you do not want in your computer.
Another way to install software in Ubuntu Linux is to use Synaptic Package Manager (Manager Synaptic Package Manager) this is a package manager slightly more advanced software and as the name suggests allows us to install and see more detail which packages and what dependencies (files that are needed to run the software in optimal conditions) come with software installed, here we filters and categories, as well as a description of packages and suggestions for some software that we want to install.
The 3 of the approach is to use deb packages. .deb Files are similar to those of Windows .exe basically download a .deb file extension, as we give double click in Windows and install the desired application but although we are approaching a lot of steps in Windows exe files, not all Next we have to give 10 sites or tick that we agree contractual terms to install any .deb file! Simply double click the file .deb dam, then click on Install Package and that's all we have to do. Usually .deb files of third party developers are offering free software and open source is not such as Skype, Adobe Flash Player, TeamViewer. Once installed software first method .deb downloading a file, it can be uninstalled by using Synaptic Package Manager. Whatever method we choose to install software for Ubuntu Linux all 3 ways are correct, leaving your choice what method you want to install the software in question. There will be cases when software installation may be done only by a .deb package, there us a PPA or Repository for that software and not being found in the Ubuntu Software Center or Synaptic Package Manager, an example would be installing TeamViewer.
That being said I invite you to follow along this video tutorial.
Remember, if you have suggestions, complaints or additions do not hesitate to write in the comments box, de-also if you met the comments box a user has a problem and you can help him, do not hesitate to do it, the only way we can do this place better, see the comments box!

Pt. reinstall GRUB using the ALTERNATE CD, not DESKTOP. So boot with that CD, choose the "Rescue system" option, and after a few steps choose the keyboard, etc .. it asks you what partition you want to be used as root system, and- it shows you the partitions it found. Here you have to be very sure on which partition you installed linux, and after selecting it a menu will appear that also contains "reinstall grub". Select the menu and it will ask you on which partition you want to install the grub, usually e / dev / sda, anyway you have suggestions there.
Installing Windows always delete any operating system and let only him ..

  • What are some start: Linux ready to go :)) praiseworthy, if it adevarat.avand and the fact that many have tracing for games, not see them passing on Linux in veci.in only good rest.
