What is the difference between 32-bit and 64-bit systems - video tutorial

Hi friends, in this tutorial I will try to enlighten you about the systems 64 bit, I'll try to translate than the avalanche of information.
Certainly many people who are somewhat familiar with PCs know that on 64 bits you can use more memory and have the impression that this is the advantage. Things are a little different, in fact on 32 bits we can use up to 64 Gigabytes of ram memory, if the "political" will from Microsoft, they say they can not use PAE (physical address extension) due to some problems licensing and possible stability problems, although it PAE works great on most x86 Linux distributions (32-bit). The truth is that PAE is just a little "trick" with the help of wax, the hardware is better managed, not a native way. We can say that Microsoft wants to force the process of switching to 64, this is not necessarily a bad thing, it is a good move in the long run but in the next period we will not see who knows what changes. It seems that this is why even developers are not in a hurry to write software on 64, everyone wants results now.
The right way is to switch to 64 bits, unfortunately we encounter a lot of problems, instead of gaining as if we lose more. The programs do not run so spectacularly, sometimes they run even better software written in 32 and emulated on 64 than software on native 64. We can attribute this problem to the "fragility" of applications written for 64.
For months using windows 7 64, I can say it runs very well, I must say that almost all hardware is art and I've had no problems with drivers or peripherals, things have changed a lot since the launch of Windows xp on 64, I remember that the experience of that time turned into a nightmare, I couldn't find any driver, when I found one I only found myself with blue screens. Since then things have changed, hardware manufacturers release stable drivers for both 32 and 64, if you have relatively new hardware (2-3 years) you do not have to worry, even older hardware will cope but the peripherals more old is not known… The biggest problems when switching to 64 will come from the following peripherals: scanners, printers, webcams, TV tuners, sound cards, capture cards, etc.
What do I have to switch to x64?
(Requirements of common sense), the requirements are more permissive Microsoft sfautiesc but will not be taking into account.

Processor that supports 64 bit (dual or quad core).
64 bit operating system (windows 7 is the most stable).
64 software for maximum benefit and those 32 but go smoothly.
Over 2 Gigabytes of RAM (recommended 4-8 GB or more)
Hardware relatively new (sub-2 3 years old).
Peripherals us (2-3 years old).
May swap SSD nimble. (Optional)
Make sure you find device drivers for all sites.

Although many of you will want to go on 64, advise you first check whether you meet all the above operating system 64 eat RAM bits on bread, do not expect the system to work better if you just 2-3 GB of memory, 64 is a major consumer, who will meet the requirements they will provide comfort for the future, applications will run without restrictions, games will be able to use more memory, video editing programs, audio, graphics are will feel much better.
Now we are in the situation of a "move", exactly as a family moves to another home, at first it will be a little harder but in a few months we will start to reap the benefits, 64 bits gives us freedom and speed that we do not I could dream 32.

My example:

We decided several months ago to move all the 64-bit I installed Windows Enterprise 7 64 bit, I was impressed by the drivers through Windows Update support basically had nothing to install only applications (Realtek, nvidia, hp etc.), Microsoft provides you with update device driver only, not control application of the device.
Soon I forgot that I was on 64 bit, I started to do all kinds of miracles: flash firmware resoftare phones, installing ROMs, installing applications made by developers knees on some forums. All I installed ran without any problem.
The conclusion is that the 7 64-bit Windows is a stable operating system which gave me no problems, although I expected to limp slightly. 64 from Windows XP to today have changed, the 64 XP was odious, can not he like bone, it's about drivers not found nor bribe.
In terms of performance, it seems that we have to apteptat by developers, they have not written too well 64 Software, software are very well written, but you can count on the fingers (adobe cs5 64 bit, sony vegas 64 bit, office 2010 64 bit, etc.), they provide a much better performance on 64 provided you have enough memory.

Remember, if you have suggestions, complaints or additions do not hesitate to write in the comments box, de-also if you met the comments box a user has a problem and you can help him, do not hesitate to do it, the only way we can do this place better, see the comments box!
On the comments box trying to get somewhat on the subject so other visitors can offer a tutorial + comments relevant comments may be extra support for user errors, or desire to learn.
Before asking a question try looking through the comments oldest, most times there already answered your question.
Use more categories at the top of the site and the search engine from the right corner to quickly get to what you are interested, we have over 500 tutorials that cover almost every genre of software, we have realized, I you just have to search for them and watch them.

Search Engine.
If for example you have a problem with Yahoo Messenger, you can enter in our search engine terms like Yahoo, Mess, Messenger, id mess, multimess problem messenger, messenger error, etc., you will see that you will have a choice.

Categories.
If you use category drop-down, they find the bar under Home categories: Office, Graphic-Design, Hardware, Internet, Multimedia, Security, System, Storage, Backup, under these categories are organized sub-categories and sub-sub -categorii, that's a more accurate filtering. To find something related to Yahoo Messenger using the categories you can lead the category:InternetThere will open other subcategories where you choose Voice-ChatFrom there you can go on the subcategory YahooFinally, with these filters will arrive on a page where the only items related to Yahoo Messenger or Yahoo Mail.

Archives.
On the page Archives You can find all our tutorials organized beautiful days saptameni, months and years.
Everything is logical, just follow the logic.
Enjoy !

  • Tutorial.Am a very interesting question, I have never used a system 64 bit and did not know much about them: You can install programs on a bit 32 64 system, as we saw in the tutorial you had Winrar both versions on the same system?

  • Ms Long Cristi! You are the best ! ... I have been waiting for this good Tutorial for a long time .. Even akm I will install Windows 7 On 64 Bit .. Ms Much ..

For now do not feel big difference because software developers have to rewrite applications 64 simply reshaped and 32 same code is not the same.
When we have applications made from the grass in 64 we will "fly", until then we will run surrogates made in a hurry.

  • There are large memory consuming software that were released only in the 64-bit version, an example is After Effects CSS5, at least that's how it was when I was on the Adobe site.

Another proof that the transition to 64 is "forced", this transition to 64 is definitely for our good, anyway we will have to do it once and for all.

  • I do not know ... I'm interested in forums and trackers to some comenturi to Win x64biti .... but still have not found

I hope you enlighten me. I have a slightly older PC the processor supports x64 (no problem) but 1.5 gb Ram and that confuses me ... that I want to put WIn XPx64, dak I put Win7 I'm done ... so; I want to know if at 1.5 I can put x64 bit OS and it will work fine / acceptable, enough to play a Crysis / World of Warcraft / Kane and lynch (aku fak advertise as stupid, I said).

If someone can answer my ...
    Thank you in advance

  • I just started using ubuntu linux and more precisely. After seeing it's interesting having an Android phone I looked if I can put ubuntu on that phone. first result was on XDA Developers and there was a link (http://androlinux.com/android-ubuntu-development/how-to-install-ubuntu-on-android/). I find interesting. I have not tried yet 4 GB card + but I will try. You can make a tutorial.

I posted here because it was the last tutorial and M_AM thought it would be more noticeable

  • Very few current programs have been designed to fully benefit from the 3,5 to 4 gigabytes of maximum memory that can be used with a 32-bit version of Windows. So, depending on what you do and the programs you use, there may be no advantage or just a small advantage or track record (the advantage of the user running a lot of programs simultaneously, which is an idiocy in my opinion ) regarding the use of a version of Windows 64-bit ... frankly I do not see a future recent 64-bit systems.

No need to post the last tutorial, we read all comments regardless of tutorial on that post!

So depending on what you do and the programs you use, it may not be any advantage or just a little edge or record (lead by running many programs simultaneously, which is a stupid thing in my opinion ) about using a version of Windows 64 bit ... honestly do not see a future in 64 recently-bit systems.

A more visible difference is if you have an HDD ... it moves a little faster on the 64, it responds faster to commands if you have enough RAM ... it's probably just the placebo effect ... but if you have an SSD, the difference speed or open applications faster, they are indistinguishable ...

... maybe you wanted to say the opposite ... the idea is that you should differentiate certain tutorials in certain sections dedicated to users

Yes, you, too can learn only if 64 processor using Google or by visiting Intel's official website. Even you are not able to do a search? Need not only be 64 processor but you also have enough RAM (minimum 2 GB or more)

      • Hello, I also have a question, I have an Intel E5200 system of 2.50 ghz 4 giga ram 1 gb video card ... why can't I put the 64-bit windows ??? I'm waiting for an opinion something ..... ms !!

You can enter the manufacturer's website and there you will find the desired information!

  • Very interesting tutorial! By the way, Cristi, you have a "freshman" processor. Congratulations for PC and tutorials!

  • I use 3gb RAM DDR dual channel 2 800 7 x64 Windows because I have a processor that supports x64.Eu x64 I had mistakenly thought that I am x86 usb stick but it worked and now goes 40 memory% s okay.
