How to Download the Direct Connect network (ODC, apex, strong) on ubuntu linux - video tutorial

Although Ubuntu Linux is a free operating system for everyone here could even need to share files with their loved ones or loved ones to download personal photos, text files, documents, pictures ISO with different Linux distributions.

What could I use to be able to do the above? Well let's think… we can use torrent or dc clients (direct connect or as some call it ODC) ftp and the list goes on. In today's tutorial I focused on a DC client called Linuxdcpp. Of course there are other clients that allow us to use this download protocol, one of them would be Valknut and in order to use it we must have Java installed.
If we have good acquaintances on Windows clients like: Apex, DC, ODC 5.31 behold and Ubuntu Linux without problems we can use this protocol.
The interface is very simple and strikingly similar to the ODC's on Windows
Many of us, when we say we think Torrente ODC or piracy, it's not quite so! Ui can share files and otherwise besides music, movies, games etc. We can make very nice Share 10-15 ISO images with different distributions of Linux and so we remain perfectly legal! In Romania is not forbidden Share your files but Share your files with copyright mentioned above (music, movies, games etc) but as long as we remain in legality we will not have any problem and will not no government institution able to ban our right to share-ui (split shows files) loved ones.
We can download the Linuxdcpp ?? Anything, personal photos, text files, PDF documents, wallpapers, different Linux distributions.

But let's better to watch this video tutorial

Remember, if you have suggestions, complaints or additions do not hesitate to write in the comments box, de-also if you met the comments box a user has a problem and you can help him, do not hesitate to do it, the only way we can do this place better, see the comments box!

Enjoy !

    • Daniel: It's like reading my thoughts: O: O. I just made a list of the difficulties of switching to Linux such as the printer driver (Canon) as for hp I know it's easy .., the connection to the net (9.04 not 9.10), alternative to mes and skype, video and sound drivers, to run the games (wine) and if there is a DC client for Linux. So far I have tried (played) with wubi and virtualbox. Now I can pass quietly on Linux, THANK YOU !!!  (Cite me)

  • 1 player goes, to me at least. I tried in firefox on windows 7 and does not want to load. I will try and go from XP to see dak. back with details.

  • I went with ie8 and go ok player 1. is a problem for me I think. congratulations for tutorials.

    Have a nice day.

  • Do you know how you can share your stick giga 8. I for one have not succeeded. If I try to add folders already exist tells me to share folder though it is not. Thank you very much!

  • Grandpa program. From what I noticed, however, it does not have the ability to download from multiple users at once - download in segments (now it also depends on how demanding each user is).
As a possible alternative, Apex DC can work properly on Ubuntu (through Wine). Also accepts "Direct connection" --- Active connection mode (if there are no impediments)

    • vali: Pretty good program. From what I noticed he still has the ability to download from multiple users simultaneously - download Segment (now depends on how picky is each user).

And there is a Linux software multiple sources DC who knows, I said that the text of the presentation!
Valknut is called but it is more difficult to set up, has a lot of stuff and can be configured to the smallest details, is based on Java. I prefer to introduce it because it's easy to set up and has a more familiar interface. A Valknut to present and a future tutorial

I used StrongDC for a while but when I came across ZK ++ I couldn't believe it;), if it's to use something with wine then I recommend ZK ++ any version.
