How to delete Windows 8 from a dual boot with Windows 7 - video tutorial

Hi friends, in today's tutorial we will see how we can remove Windows 8 if 7 a dual boot with Windows or another operating system. As I have mentioned in other tutorials, basic rule when doing a dual boot is to install the first time on a partition / hard disk oldest operating system and the other partition / hard disk newest operating system.
For example, if you want to make a dual boot between Windows XP and Windows Vista, first you need to install Windows XP because Windows Vista is older and then go through the installation of Windows Vista.
To implement what we decided today we use EasyBCD famous. Perhaps many of you have already tested Windows 8 starring in a dual boot with Windows 7 or another operating system and have concluded that you do not like what it offers Windows 8.
You can "uninstall" Windows 8 in a very simple way that requires only a few mouse clicks and additional EasyBCD software to delete Windows 8 from the boot menu. Also as a basic rule it should be mentioned that, when you want to remove one of the operating systems from a dual boot, you must "uninstall" the system you want to give up, logged in to the one you want to keep.
For example, if you have Windows XP in dual boot with Windows Vista or 7 and want to keep XP, you will need to take steps to remove the Windows Vista / 7 being logged into Windows XP.
For those who want to make a dual boot between Linux or any version of Windows, first install Windows and then Linux. That said, I invite you to watch the video tutorial to see exactly how Windows 8 delete a dual boot with Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7.

  • Easy BCD is a dangerous application in the hands of idiots. I suffered when I deleted the MBR testing the application and Windows no longer boot. Luckily Windows was in VirtualBox. Looking at the tutorial I was wondering if a triple boot is possible: Windows 7. Windows 8 and Ubuntu.

    • Yes, how do you know that it is deleted from msconfig .. "default" ?? I'm telling you that it doesn't delete, it just gives you the illusion that it's deleted .. but it stays there a lot and well .... In fact .. the thing with msconfig is for children like you who have also heard of msconfig :)) . So, when you delete from msconfig, then quickly go to "general" that is to the first tab and select "normal startup" then enter again where you said you deleted windows 8 .. and you will be surprised to see it all there, yes even cooler! : :)))) That's why I start to like linux lately ... finally .. When you give answers .. try to think about what you write .. maybe you better not write anything because you can mislead the world with wrong information like yours .. Because you are spreading wrong information ...

  • Hello. You can help me with a problem. Some time before this tutorial appeared I installed win 7 on C, and win 8 on D, I was not happy with win 8 so I clicked on it and deleted it after deleting some files it gave me an error and I couldn't delete anything ..... it disappeared from my boot but takes up space on D. I can't format or delete volumes because I have "everything" on D, and I can't move on C because I don't have enough space. Do you have any idea how I can delete the remnants from win 8 and keep my data ???

Welcome. Can you help me with my problem. Some time before appearing this tutorial I installed win 7 the C and the D 8 win, I was delighted 8 win so I clicked on it and delete after you have deleted some files gave me error and I could not delete anything ..... I disappeared from the boot but takes Hire and D. I can not format or delete volumes that have "all" the D and C to move on as I can not quite place. Any idea how can I remove debris 8 win and keep my data??

Simple and easy! Although I don't quite understand the twist you made, but let's see, maybe this advice works for you. You have to take it out of the drawer ... the windows 7 dvd you put it nicely in the dvd-rw. Then, windows 7 opens, you start, run and type there in the msconfig box, then you boot and there you delete windows 8
and you will leave windows 7 current os, restart the pc and enter partition D and format the entire partition, but save important files if there are of course. If this option doesn't help you, then we still have the dvd inserted in dvd-rw, restart, press the F8 key, or delet or whatever key you press to start booting from the dvd, and start exactly as if you were installing a windows, then you will notice a blue letter on the left that will ask you if you want to fix some damage to your pc, and you logically go in there, and you will find a setting that will repair your boot sector of windows 7 . with one condition, that the DVD with windows 7 be the same one with which you installed the windows, in order for the repair to work. And there are other options, including the option to check the ram memory. And if that doesn't work for you, then I don't think there are other methods.

  • else can be done if you dual boot windows and windows 7 8, enter 7 windows and give the command: msconfig and click on the Windows boot section 8 and hit delete and wipe the easiest dual boot them so
