Which TV is better between LCD, Plasma and "Led"? - hardware guide

Hi friends, in this guide hardware will try to help you with information on the technologies used to build flatscreens today, this guide will be of great use to those who in this time they buy an LCD TV, a Plasma or LED .
From the very beginning I want to tell you that the title of "LED TV" is incorrect, more correct would be "TV with LED lighting", you should know that LEDs are actually LCD TVs with a different backlight, LED- on the edge or back instead of cathode ray tubes (classic LCD).
consumption:
We currently have on the market two technologies used, plasma and LCD both have strengths and weaknesses, plasma technology is the most mature and in time managed to hide Well weaknesses, was recently addressed the problem of consumption at last we NeoPDP Plasma panel Panasonic consumption 150 162 Wati Wati the box and calibrated (Model TX-P42G30E 42 inch panel (106 cm), not bad at all if we think that several years ago plasmas meter broke in two, you do not think that a lcd consume too little, such as a LCD Samsung UE40D6510 the latest generation diagonal 40 ″ (101 cm) consumes about 130 watts.
Sd tv on HDTV:
An invaluable asset of plasmas is the playback quality of SD content, ie a plasma knows how to play nice standard definition broadcasts and DVD movies, this chapter lcd does not do well.
Colours:
If we talk about TVs, a very important thing is the color, here I mean natural colors not artificially intensified colors just to get the effect of "scratched retina", with this trick the LCD quickly made its way to the living rooms of many customers . Plasma does not have such a vibrant color, instead it knows how to reproduce colors super naturally, especially when it comes to black.
black:
Plasma may cting individual pixels to obtain a deep black to light impossible unless you use an array LED backlight that allows stopping and starting individual LEDs, unfortunately this technology is found only on the most expensive LCDs.
Response time:
Best LCD TV is fast Philips 52PFL9606H / 12It has a 0.5 ms response time, this means an eternity beside the response time of plasma which is only 0.001 ms, gaming enthusiasts know what that means.
sensitivity:
LCD is perfect for image rendering technology from quality sources, for example if you want to watch a BluRay is perfect LCD, plasma do not understand that do not play well. Unfortunately when we watched a television things are not so good in plasma exchange does a great job in HD but in SD. We have to consider that most of us are stations SD (standard definition).

My recommendation for those who want to "beautify" their wall with a brand new TV would be to buy a Panasonic plasma, during this period they are extremely cheap, plasma has never been so cheap.

A very cheap plasma TV type is:
Panasonic Plasma TV, 106cm, FullHD, TX-P42U30E
We have to think that it is a TV 1 meter diagonal, be sure to take measures well before buying, to make sure you fit in where you want to place it.
The model which I'd buy is:
Panasonic Plasma TV, 106cm, FullHD, TX-P42G30E
An armored TV functions, the only minus would be 3D site too but I did not murder 3D site, also must keep in mind that there is still content 3D I do not think will occur soon.
If you still want 3D would be good to look at this tool:
3D Panasonic Plasma TV, 106cm, FullHD, TX-P42ST30E
You have everything here except glasses, the filters that are found only on the sites and VT's profile THX am sure that many people will overcome these small minuses technology embedded in this little monster. To keep costs down, those from Panasonic used a case last year, many will seem quite wide edge but if you know what they will not impede fancy like that, in addition to Samsung TVs by this year ( super thin edges), all TVs seem old for two years.
Go to work, nobody knows when we'll meet at these prices plasmas.

CRT is super picture quality is almost perfect, the problem is they can not be manufactured large TVs so cheap. Another problem is as pretty sizable tastes of modern man.
Plasma is similar in many respects to the CRT, even the problems are similar.

  6. I would like some advice about buying a TV, I would have budget is somewhere around £ 1300 and the room in which I need so plasma 3x3m he is out of the question either as price as well as size .I found this tv (http://www.emag.ro/televizoare/televizor-led-sharp-56cm-fullhd-lc22le430e–pLC22LE430E) Or this (http://www.emag.ro/televizoare/televizor-led-samsung-56cm-fullhd-22d5000–pUE22D5000NWXBT) And do not know which one to choose. From what I understood from the descriptions of 2 TVs can receive digital package and programs from RDS exception being those encoded (HBO, digital video, etc.), I hope I have understood correctly the significance of DVB- C.Un response would help me, I choose sharp or samsung or niciunul.VA Thanks in advance.

  7. The most important features that must meet a TV (in my opinion) would be:
    -Visualization of all types of video files, especially mkv;
    -Reading all subtitles;
    -Access to as much information on the net;
    -Have digital tuner
    Careful!
Prices vary greatly from one store to another!

Unfortunately you failed to use during the plasma parameters possibly something about "reloading tubules" while ...

The life of a plasma panel is 100.000 hours after this interval does not hurt but halves the contrast, ie the 2.000.000 / 1 to 1.000.000 / 1.
For LCDs, if you're lucky enough to reach 100.000 operating hours, I've been "talking" to two monitors so far, the backlight is gone and the replacement costs quite a lot, it's not worth it.

  10. … A medium-sized TV (:)))) costs about as much as a high-performance computer configured with modest resources… viewing is important, however not to compare the TV with the cinema (is there still?)… The idea is that it is not long until on a holographic television, I hope we get it. Good luck, you have good advice all the time.

Things evolve quickly, this time we are in front of the plasma very low prices, especially in high performance plasmas.
Last year they were more expensive and not worth it because the technology was a little weak, it can not find that in Romania than in Western models were launched a few months.
If it was not exceptional cheap Panasonic models would not give money on a plasma or an entry level Samsung LG, do not get me wrong, LG and Samsung plasmas very good but not this price segment.
It is a situation that needs to take advantage (earthquake + tsunami + + paranoia western nuclear accident).

Sony40v5500 I have a few months of 2010 and a panasonic-tx-p42st30- is the difference between the panels 2 is amazing, panasonicul's many classes over sony and the additional consumption 25-watts of plasma 30 us goes unnoticed! (and one of the highest quality plasma giving hand for those who recommend Pioneer They made their presence felt and NeoPDP panels g14si g20)

Yes, that's what I thought, it was good to say that in the tutorial, so as not to create confusion. Now I clarified, it wasn't such a big mess anyway, but it was crazy when I thought about what you said in the last tutorial and what you said in it. However, the tutorial-guide is welcome and I am still waiting for tutorials of this kind… Happy Holidays and good health to the whole family. (Quit smoking to be healthier 😉)

I made this guide because in this period I would get a new TV and I duly informed, and online and on the ground (with ochiometrul). Recommendations are 100% honest, just this election and I would do it in this time. Tomorrow do not know how things will be, but today these are my choices.

Happy Holidays to you / you, not smoking electronic smoke than in February this year I smoked regular cigarettes (I smoked only one and I thought my lungs give out). I'm going to quit and this soon as nicotine addiction is still there. If I'd make a guide solocita world and pop these services (how to clean, what better to buy, etc). I have to be fair, I do not let you remove nicotine but much better on all levels.

It is not recommended to use a plasma as a monitor, even if the problem was further improved damage cell walls (phosphors), the problem has not gone completely and display for long periods of static images (icons on the desktop) can retention effects occur for long periods.
If you occasionally play a game or watch a movie is super ok but not good to use it as a monitor full time, you can play non stop, the idea is to not let him still picture very much long.
This effect also appears on crts, which is why screen savers were inserted, to introduce some more "action" on the desktop.

Response times of TV sets is purely managerial. We are bombarded with all kinds of technical devices of different sites, and we do not think about how limited is the human eye. Can the human eye distinguish between 8ms 4ms and response time? Or if you're a Plasma or OLED or AMOLED. has a contrast 10.000.000 / 1 and 4ms time / response, and over two months comes the same vendor with another product that provides a contrast 50.000.000 / 1 and 2 ms time / response, Our retina somersault of joy and excitement?

  21. Cristi, the tutorial is relatively correct from my point of view. Let's think about it. What is the reason why someone buys an LCD or Plasma TV? I say that the main reason is not the renewal of the TV but the predominant viewing of materials HD, considering that all the panels today are HD (even Full HD). That's why I bought the LCDs I have, I watch 90% of HD materials (movies, etc. on the computer and HD stations from the program grid from RCS). The HD resolution of the TV is the main reason why someone buys such a panel, I say. As such, the comparison between LCD LED and plasma must be made starting from this aspect. I agree with your opinion in the article, respectively I consider that a Full HD movie looks better on an LCD LED than on any plasma at this time and I have in mind the following things when I say this. I made the comparison "ochiometric" as you said you between Panasonic 50 VT30 (which is a mod it is superior to the G30) and Samsung D8000, ie a top plasma from Panasonic and a top LCD LED from Samsung. I mention that for the LCD LED model I did chromatic calibration according to the D65 scale this) so that there is no reason for anyone to say that the colors of the LCD LED are bright or exaggerated (this seems to me a false counterargument, valid only in showrooms where there is no color calibration). they 2 materials, a movie and a football match, in the daylight conditions in the room where they were located, I did this in the annex of a showroom where something like this was sold for 2 days. My impression after watching these materials was that the LCD LED better reproduces both videos from any point of view (color details, motion resolution, etc.), an impression shared by my friend who works in that place. And Panasonic is very high performance and an excellent TV but only for darker rooms, in my opinion. Pen tru SD materials are better Panasonic is also my opinion, but, I repeat the reason why someone would buy a panel with HD resolution should never be watching SD materials, so it seems logical to me, that's why you can stay no problems with the old CRT.
In conclusion I can say that doing a wonderful job on this website and you and your colleagues, and I really appreciate your work, keep so on.
    Happy Holidays to all!

  36. Regarding energy consumption. Do not go by what is written on the manufacturer's site. If consumption depends on the plasma display image. Consume less white, black almost nothing. A plasma p42g20 I did tests and consumes between 80-120W in normal use, the normal default protv Full HD picture. p42GT30 range consume less and consume the least VT30 range.
Do not go into technical details but all Panasonic panels are made in japan.

And now if you look for a plasma in which you stop:
    - Diagram between 40 ″ and 50 ″ (preferably 50 ″)
    - Max price 3.000 lei
I know that even the best plasmas are, but they do and compromise today considering quality / price ratio.

Santa came last year for the holidays (when he usually comes) with a superb 30 ″ G42, it looks super good on non-HD stations and it's crystal clear on HD.
Recommend, unfortunately I do not think one can find model than tough.
The only minus is the heat released, though it sink in summer, this is a common problem among Plasmas.

  43. The new LED TVs know how to make the picture better management. Analyzed is decomposed in grayscale color, etc. and then made corrections dinnou. In the final picture will look better on a TV that knows how to process the image. An example is Sony's X-Reality. So are Panasonic's image processing systems. Panasonic Plasmas consume contents. If you look at a film that is dark 80% consumed in 80W (p42g20). If you consume more light-110W 130. Overall consumption is relative. I have a plasma p2g42 20 years and I can say 100kw not pay more than the current month. 100kw the total consumption in an apartment.

  44. OK… .I asked because I also talked to Mosu 'for such a plasma year… considering the market, the needs and the budget I stopped at this: LG-50PA6500 (but not definitively)… ..I know this it's not a forum, but I watched the tutorial last night and found it extremely well documented, so I thought I'd ask an expert opinion… so what do you say?

  45. hello! a question how about a panel 42pt353 lg plasma? I saw some reviews but not plasma 100% convinced specifications I understand that it is not big deal but please give me your view that is more The experimental and advanced than mine.

    ms beautiful.

    happy holidays!

  46. Hello, I have a LG LCD LG 37 3000 / 2000, CM 94 four years we have today when we opened started to smell hot plastic (you know that smell of the earth starts to melt). Does anyone know what happen? What do you think?

LED edge or back instead of cathode ray tubes (LCD classic).
A small correction: these are fluorescent tubes without filament - CCFLT. Probably in a hurry… ..Other congratulations!

  48. I personally panasonic plasma tx-p42g20, about 3 years.
Plasma first time you use them you have to cycle burning, meaning to play video or adjust the brightness as low as possible. After about 100 You can use normal hours. The basic idea is that,
colors will be more vivid contrast flawlessly. Native contrast is 5 000 000: 1, not dynamic. For those who watch movies is a good choice. Eat more but sees the difference. Also as in tutorial, plasma play well and SD DVD's. Much better than any LCD. Another aspect of the matter and the player. The Boxee DSM-380 which can be found at around 300 sh-400ron, Qualitative is exceptional. Range best LCDs are IPS panel. They're LCD Panasonic and LG, but from my point of view Panasonic IPS LED has the best colors, that very little extra tvs panasonic reach the service. Panel remains made in japan, and assembly is done in the Czech Republic or Poland.

  49. I do not recommend nimanu LG TVs even if they have great technology, because what it says on the site does not reflect reality.
The following aspects to consider when you take a TV:
    1. black level on the panel can have
    2. quality whites played (should not have stains on the edges)
    3. IPS panel (it can be seen from any angle ok)
    4. not interested refresh, not using 3d than the beginning and the rest will not even be used
    5. refresh a tv-200 400 even if it has no effect-600hz than sport. Enable display of results in a movie theater style. You know what I mean.
    6. To support 1080p24 movies.
    7. Native contrast ratio must be greater than 4000: 1 enough.

  50. while a more in depth tutorial? would be interesting to do a technical tutorial with all the technology today: oled direct ips panel led samdla secure a new home to buy a billboard, right?
