What is the article Humidification of air, dry air conditioning about?
I present to you a device for humidifying the air, dried by the air conditioning.
During the summer, when the air conditioning is used and during the winter, when we heat our house, the air dries and becomes annoying for the eyes, nose, mouth but also for the skin, which dries.
What does air humidification mean?
By humidifying the air we mean the reintroduction of moisture into the air in the rooms, which is lost for various reasons.
Humidification of the air is necessary where the relative humidity (RH) falls below the value of 35-40%, for a longer period.
How a relatively low humidity feels
The first to feel the low relative humidity, below 35%, is felt by our body.
The nose and mouth are drier than usual, as are the eyes. The skin dries out and begins to eat us.
Another sign of relatively low humidity can be felt in household items. The doors and furniture are deformed and the fruits in the fruit bowl are dehydrated.
How can we reintroduce moisture into dry air
If we want to solve the problem short term, we can boil a kettle with water, or we can leave the bathroom door open after taking a shower.
For humidification long-term and constant an air humidifier is needed.
What are humidifiers and how do they work
Humidifiers are of three types, as far as I know.
- Humidifiers through forced evaporation by a blowing fan I hope a filter soaked in water.
- Humidifiers that boil water using electricity
- Humidifiers that use ultrasounds for water spraying (same as in the tutorial)
How does the ultrasonic humidifier (cold steam) work?
Ultrasonic humidifiers use an ultrasonic piezo membrane, which, subject to a certain frequency, sprays water.
The water is transformed into a cold steam that evaporates immediately, thus increasing the relative humidity in the room.
Advantages of an ultrasonic humidifier (cold steam)
The ultrasonic humidifier consumes less than the other two types
The ultrasonic humidifier is quieter than those with forced evaporation.

Disadvantages of an ultrasonic humidifier
We must use a mineral-poor water, ie distilled water, osmosis, rainwater (clean) or even water that drains from the air conditioning.
If it is used with hard water, in a few months it will develop deposits, and through the room, near the device, we will find traces of white dust, which are nothing but minerals in the water.

Good evening, interesting presentation. Can you cope with the size of the room? How high is the percentage of humidity? I ask because I also had a toy of this (not a popular brand), having big problems with dry air in winter. He could only raise the humidity by 2-3 percentage points. Insignificant at a humidity of 25%. I gave up on him.
On hot summer days, such as July and August, without the humidifier, I have about 35% RH. With the device it goes in 45%. In winter I did not test very carefully, but I would say that it still raises the humidity by about 10%.

I am also very interested in a portable HDD, very resistant for saving photos (1TB I think I have enough for the beginning) because I have a portable HDD that although I used it very rarely and was only in the closet, it has problems, as well the two laptop HDDs put in the rack, some files can no longer open them, give errors, corrupt files, etc.
And one more thing interests me a lot, namely how you can accurately calibrate the screen of a laptop, all this to see the photos correctly and to be able to edit them properly.
