Why use a virtual debit card?

Sometimes we are put in a position to buy various things from sites we have never bought from.

Either the sites are new and no one has heard of them, or they are weird foreign sites; In any case, it is better not to pay on those sites with our bank card issued by a bank in our name.

It is prudent to use another single-use virtual card that changes data after each payment. That way, whoever has access to the data on the card, after that payment they are no longer useful.

Virtual cards from the Revolut application

In addition to a lot of options, the Revolut application, which is a type application FinTech, allows us to fund the account with money and pay using virtual cards generated in the application.

In Revolut we can generate three types of cards.

Physical card, which you receive by mail if you want
Virtual card with which you can make payments just like with the normal card
Disposable virtual card, which changes its data after each payment

Physical card it's like any other bank card. This is related to an account with IBAN Romania, more precisely the account is opened at Libra Bank

Virtual Card it is exactly like the physical card, only it is virtual and you can use it on your phone to pay for POS, by enrolling it in Google Pay or Apple Pay

Disposable Virtual Card is a card that changes its data after each payment. Thus, the data becomes useless after each transaction and the "thief" has nothing to do with your data on the single-use virtual card.

CAREFUL:

Don't use the single-use virtual card on subscriptions or monthly payments such as Netflix, recurring bill payments, etc.
